Bed set-up is two kings, one queen, and 2 kids' rooms with pyramids (twin over double plus pull-out trundle). Directly across the road from public beach access and just one lot back from the ocean. Why the Owner Chose Nags Head
We chose South Nags Head because the lack of commercial development on that part of the island makes for a more relaxing experience while the shops, restaurants and other amenities are still just a few minutes drive away. In addition, our part of the island is so narrow that there is only the row of oceanfront houses, the beach road and then the row that contains our house. Behind the house is protected national seashore, so the sunsets to the west off the back deck are incredible. There is also a public beach access point almost directly across from the house, so even though it's not an oceanfront lot, it's a very short walk to the beach nonetheless.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The house is big enough to hold three or four families, so we've been able to gather our far flung siblings and parents from across the country for some memorable times together at the beach. One of the adults is wheelchair bound, so the handicapped accessible bedroom and bath make it possible for him to join us as well. The elevator also helps the older folks to get around (not to mention bringing up the groceries!).

Weather was beautiful and all the amenities were great. The house is wonderful and the elevator was a lifesaver. Everybody had a wonderful time. One woman decided she wanted to stay forever, so please occasionally feed the woman out by the pool!

The house is perfect for our family. We liked how close the house was to the beach, especially with four children 5 years and younger. The pool was very nice to have. Thanks for a great vacation!
