The "FAIRWAYS" is a newly completed townhome community of luxury two-story villas located on the sunny South Kohala Coast, just 25 minutes north of the Kailua/Kona Airport. The lush garden setting is impeccably maintained and gated for privacy. This community is part of the world famous Mauna Lani Resort.

As guests you will have access to all Resort amenities, including the private Mauna Lani Beach Club only a couple minutes away. The Mauna Lani Resort Spa, Tennis, Fitness Club, and Golf Courses are also all available for your use. The Fairmont Orchid and other beaches are within walking distance of about 700 yards. This unit, #1705 in Bldg 17, is centrally located within the complex. It was chosen to be close enough to the pool, about 50 yards distance, but far enough away so as to remain a very quiet location. Within the pool area is a large jacuzzi with waterfalls, lounge chairs, and outdoor dining area shaded by gazebos. Above the pool is a brand new fully equipped exercise gym for your use.

The interior of this townhome has recently been beautifully designed with an eclectic mix of newer fine furnishings and Asian antiques. The gourmet kitchen is fully appointed with newer stainless steel appliances and complete cooking gear, including utensils and table settings for 12. Your private lanai looks out onto a tropical garden and greenbelt setting where you'll enjoy mountain views and gorgeous sunsets. Here your own outdoor summer kitchen includes a built-in Viking gas BBQ, sink, and faucet. Here you'll be able to relax on the teak dining furniture and lounge chairs.

The living area is tastefully furnished and includes a new top of the line queen sleeper sofa, a 48" widescreen LCD HDTV with extended cable channels, DVD, and Ipod/CD ready stereo system. Two of the bedrooms also have flatscreen TVs with DVDs and all bedrooms have Ipod docking mini stereos. Ceiling fans are present throughout.

The master bedroom downstairs has a king bed. The oversize master bathroom has a full size jacuzzi tub, a spacious separate shower, and large walk-in closet. There is a full bathroom and 2 bedrooms upstairs. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a queen bed and the 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds, all new. The townhome also has it's own laundry room with full-size washer/dryer and an attached one-car garage with automatic garage door opener.

  • We stayed here for 1 week this past September 2008. The pictures of this unit simply do not do it justice. We thoroughly appreciated many of the designer touches, and particularly enjoyed the great bathroom and kitchen. Its location is extremely convenient to the surrounding area. All in all, we highly recommend this unit to couples and families alike!

  • Our family of 6 had a fabulous stay at this unit February 15-22. It was the perfect layout with plenty of space for everyone. The unit's location within the complex was wonderful, not too far from the pool, but not right at the pool. Everything that we could possibly need for the week was provided at the unit. This included boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas and beach towels, thank you so much for this great convenience! The unit is very nicely furnished with lovely bedding and every kitchen item one might need. We especially enjoyed the Viking grill on the lanai and the ipod hookups in every room. Having access to the Beach Club was fantastic and the Orchid beach is close by too. In the past we have always stayed at one of the resorts, however, this townhouse made our vacation even more enjoyable. Thank you Teri and Rick for sharing your home with us.

  • What a fabulous "home away from home" your townhome was for us the week of February 8-15, 2008. I truly don't know how you could improve on this fabulous place! Thank you so much for all the thoughtful additions that you normally wouldn't find in a rental unit. We enjoyed the free Wi-fi, loved all the beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and boogie boards. We lived on the Lanai, having coffee every morning and dinner with that fabulous BBQ every night! We also loved looking through the notebook with all of the restaurant menus that you had available. Everything you've done is absolutely FIRST CLASS, and you can bet we'll be back! Thank you also for the excellent communication during the rental process. This is by far the nicest place we've ever stayed in on the big Island!

  • Fantastic property! We stayed Feb 8-15, 2008. The unit is very well decorated and appointed. They have thought of everything you could possibly need. Perfect for a family or two- three couples. Lanai has nice garden view, the Viking grill is perfect and the pool and grounds are immaculately maintained.Used the Mauna Lani Beach Club and the Orchid beach as well. Golf at the two courses is great too. Thank you Teri for your gracious hospitality, we will be back!!

  • We agree wholeheartedly with all the positive comments already submitted! The pictures don't do the place justice! My daughter said she really liked it because she felt like it was our own home. The Mauna Lani resort area is so peaceful and uncrowded. We especially enjoyed the walks along the shoreline at the Mauna Lani resort. The beach club has great snorkeling and nice calm waters. We also enjoyed beaches at Hapuna and the Mauna Kea, only a five minute drive up the coast. We will definitely recommend this great townhome to others.

  • The pictures do not do this place justice and the photos are great! We had looked and looked for the perfect place and were so excited when we found this one but even more so when we walked through the door. We were ready to move right in and leave everything we owned behind. Not only is it beautiful, it is convenient, welcoming and comfortable. The master bathroom is huge! The guest room upstairs is like being in a tree house. The kitchen is perfect and the BBQ is a dream! Rick and Teri are two of the nicest people and their energy is felt in their beautiful home. We will definitely be going back and consider this place our home in Hawaii!

  • 2 adults and 3 children stayed 7/14-7/22 2007. My husband had a conference at the Fairmont Orchid which he walked to each day, it was nice and close. I would take this place over the hotel every time. We enjoyed the beach toys, snorkels, kickboards etc. You had more than ample linens, dishes, detergent etc. Your home is super clean, spacious, and quiet. Great pool for kids. Thank you for the best family vacation ever. We would come again without hesitation.

We stayed there the last week of May and had an amazing time - excellent location being away from the Kona tourist crowd - very peaceful with beautiful beaches nearby - beautiful, clean, well stocked facility - if you are looking for a complaint I can't give you one!   • We stayed in this condo from 4/2/07 through 4/6/07. Had a great time and unit was exceptionally equipped with all needed conveniences. Beach and pool were very nice. We've styed in a lot of nice places and I would definitely go back here versus any of the hotels in the area.
