Fall is a great time to visit - terrific view of nature's colors right from our deck. When it rains, head over to Michigan's largest indoor water park at Boyne Mountain - about 45 minutes away.

My wife and I find that the cottage is the one place we really get away from it all and relax. Each summer we enjoy a close by area that seems miles away from the busy life and brings us closer to each other.
After hearing how my brother used his cottage "off hours" for other families by renting, we decided to try it too - and the best part for us is hearing how these famlies and friends enjoyed the cottage. We hope when you rent you will take time to share the "best stop" places you find - resturants, beaches, shops and sights to see -- since there are just too many in this area for us to explore without your help!
Why the Owner Chose Harbor Springs
We love the beach. We enjoy strolling the shops in Harbor Springs. Our youngest son hits the ball like a young Tiger Woods - so choosing a place surrounded by golf courses of every level - all beautiful - was a big plus!
In winters since I was 3 my family skiied the hills of Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands - so choosing a place located with a view of Boyne was too good to pass up.
In the end what made this location the best for us was the location combined with privacy. No neighbors to listen to like you may experience at a condo, and lots of room both inside and out for everyone in the family to enjoy.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
We are really pleased that many who come for a stay one year return to stay here again, and again. Many rentals here do not have a main floor (first floor) king size bed in the bedroom, or air conditioning. This home is open, with a kitchen that allows everyone to be together. The Hot Tub is a fun treat too. While some never leave the cottage - just enough to do here in the cottage to fill a week of relaxation - others are able to see the best sights of Michigan by taking day trips. Mackinac Island is close enough to leave at 8 am and be there for a 9 am breakfast on the porch of the Grand Hotel. Golf is right out the door - with about a dozen choice courses just minutes away. Two great beaches are 5 minutes away and there are more along the Tunnel of Trees drive between Harbor Springs and Mackinac City. Caught by rain? Enjoy a fantastic indoor water park at Boyne Mountain about 45 minutes away. Horseback riding an interest? You can be riding within minutes. The Midwest's best ski resorts are here too - with one of the nation's best snowboard areas just 3 minutes door to door!
And - we make sure the things you need to have an enjoyable, comfortable stay are right there at the cottage.
