Our family just spent Easter week '12 at Gulf Breeze and it was without a doubt the best vacation week we have ever experienced in Fla. We've used VRBO for the past 10 years to find properties from the Panhandle to South Fla and Gulf Breeze was our most pleasant experience, hands down! The Mid-Island location was convenient to points north and south. My daughters loved the North end shopping experience while my wife and I enjoyed the south end. The strip mall on the south end by CVS has some great Italian restaurants. We never left the island and the bikes with baskets that are provided were perfect for shopping trips to Publix or Longs for groceries or for beach cruising. The 50 cent trolley picks you up and drops you off virtually 200 ft. from your front door. You can google the trolley system on your iphone to get EXTREMELY ACCURATE pick up times. When they say the trolley will be at your stop on Dakota St. at 12:34 pm......don't be late. They are accurate to the minute! Very helpful when planning a trip to the north end or returning from a shopping trip at Times Square. We also took the trolley down to Lovers Key State Park for 50 cents! Gulf Breeze was better than the photos show. The pool and jacuzzi are GREAT! My wife and I had the lower level to ourselves and the girls had the upper level. The kitchen is open and well stocked with everything you need. I used the outdoor gas grill 4 out of the 7 days. After our morning stroll on the beach, which is a one minute walk from Gulf Breeze, we set up our umbrella, chairs and towels (all provided) and were set for the day. The white sand beaches were great. NO rocks! Daytime temps in the mid to upper 80's with blue skies made it hard to leave. This property has EVERYTHING you need for a complete vacation! Just bring yourselves and your SPF! This place is a solid 10 out of 10! No wonder the calendar is already filling up for 2013. If you're looking for a roomy, open house in a great location on Ft. Myers Beach, don't hesitate, this is the place!

This made our 3rd year at this location and it was the BEST ever. They had updated the lovely pool and hot tub with new elements and it was so perfect. Used both every day. The house is so very comfortable, location is great, close to everything and laid out so nice. We will definitely go back next year and are already looking forward to it!!

our stay at the gulf breeze was wonderful, the description and pictures on the web site were more than accurate. we have rented other houses before and they were never as equipped with amenities as this one. the property was very clean and maintained. and perfect for watching the sunset on the front deck or relaxing by the pool. there is plenty of space for our two dogs too. we would definitly recommend this house to our friends and family.

The description was not as accurate in the sense that it was not as good as the place is. The photos accurately depicted the rental's appearance and amenities. The property is clean and well maintained. The owners are the best part of the whole experience. They are nice, helpful, available and keep the place in first-class shape. They were very helpful and extremely accommodating. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a good time and be taken cared of appropriately. I have rented properties all over the world and I would rank this in the top 3.

Our stay at "Gulf Breeze" was amazing. The pictures definitely match the property. Location is very convenient because its directly across from the beach and Publix is a half mile away for groceries. We went to 3 different restaraunts and they all had great food with good views. The house was very clean and stocked with everything you need to cook. The backyard was definitely our favorite spot. Listening to music, floating around the pool and sitting in the hot tub....need i say more? The owners were very nice and the manager was very accomodating. I recommend this to anyone who is thinking about visiting Fort Myers. You won't be disappointed. We would love to come back someday! THANKS

My only hesitation in writing this review is that people will find out about our little slice of heaven! We have stayed at Gulf Breeze three times now. We have been travelling to Southwest Florida for about 15 years, and Gulf Breeze is one of best places we've stayed. You will feel at home from the minute you turn the doorknob. The furnishings are just right - not too fancy so that you're afraid you'll ruin something, but very comfortable and inviting. You'll find a fully stocked kitchen, tons of beach and pool toys for adults and kids alike, bicycles, coolers, beach carts, and the most amazing pool area on the island! Looking for the perfect place to just chill? Try one of the three decks upstairs or the covered lanai area downstairs - there is plenty of seating for everyone! My personal favorite spot is the front deck, where you can watch the traffic go by, and there's a beautiful view of the Gulf across the street, too! No worries about dealing with difficult rental agencies, either. The owners are easy to work with, extremely accomodating, and I look forward to their personal gift each time we arrive. If you are thinking of renting in Ft. Myers Beach, this is your house. Just don't rent the 3rd week of March - I hope to have that week reserved for years to come! Thanks Todd and Mary!

Escape for the winter of 2011

The Gulf Breeze was wonderful and roomy. The proximity to the beach and the grocery store were convient. The pool and spa were incredible. We enjoyed the caged pool area, the deck overlooking the pool and especially eating our meals on the front deck, watching the ocean and the island activity. Thank you for providing the beach toys, chairs, etc. We took several bike rides on the beach to a near by restaurant. The beach and ocean were wonderful firsts for our 16 month old grand-daughter and our two dogs! The extensive collection of CD movies was a wonderful surprise on the one rainy cool day that we had. It was a perfect family vacation.

Gulf Breeze is located in a great spot. You cross a street and can play, sun and walk for miles on the beach. The trolley stop to town is a few houses away, and the grocery store is nearby. Our favorite part about Gulf Breeze is the back yard. A wonderful jacuzzi and beautiful sculpted pool are perfect any time of the day or night. Inside the house, a homey beach decor is complimented by 2 big bedrooms and baths. The lovely, open living room/kitchen are both stocked with every convenience. A downstairs apartment is ideal for guests or a large family. We love to visit a place that is clean and well maintained. The only surprises are good ones!

We saw the pictures and virtual tour on line but when we walked in what a wonderful surprise. The pictures did not do this house justice. It was imaculate and well appointed and steps to the beach. You can tell the owners take pride in their home. We had everything at the house we could possibily want and we will make this a yearly family vacation.

We 110% enjoyed our visit and stay here at Gulf Breeze! This house is so warm and inviting and I feel like I never want to leave this beautiful place! Our family enjoyed waking up every morning and seeing the beach across the Street. We like that it is so close to the beach access and that all of the people around us were so friendly. We would love to stay here again and visit your two other houses. Thanks for your hospitality. Our lab Molly is sad to be leaving and so are we.

The water view from the family room was awesome and watching the sun rise in the back was beautiful. The house was very unclean and we spent most of our vacation cleaning and waiting for exterminators. Pet hair was all over entire house. I would not recommend this property to my friends or relatives. The only good thing about this property was the location. The property was not well-maintained.

My husband and I have rented several cabins in states all over the country,and by far this rental was the absolute best! It was spotless, a stones throw away from the ocean, absolutley every amenity was the top of the line for our enjoyment from the dishes, towels, furniture, pool. All I can say is excellent! If you want a little piece of paradise this would be the home to rent!
