The Spyglass house is a contemporary-styled 2000 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2-bath home located on the bluffs overlooking Bodega Bay in the scenic Bodega Harbor development. It is situated on the first fairway of the Robert Trent Jones designed, Harbour Links golf course.
Spyglass house has panoramic views of Bodega Bay, Bodega Head, Point Reyes and Tomales Bay from the tastefully furnished Great Room and dramatic whitewater views of Bodega Harbor and Doran Beach from the Master bedroom.
The house is conveniently located on the far western loop of Gull Drive, half a block from the ocean. It is a 5-minute walk to the beach, the Bodega Harbor clubhouse, the Blue Water Bistro Restaurant and the first tee of the golf course. There are also several hiking trail within walking distance.
Spyglass features 2 decks off of the front of the house ideal for whale and bird watching. There is a small patio adjacent to the kitchen where a 5 person Jacuzzi and a barbeque are located. The house is also equipped with two fire-view wood stoves so you can enjoy a fire on those cool coastal evenings.
GREAT ROOM / DINING AREA / KITCHEN:
The Great Room has tile flooring throughout and is comfortably furnished with an overstuffed sofa and chairs. The entertainment center is filled with books, a 32” flat screen cable TV with a DVD player and wireless internet. The large fire-view woodstove adds warmth and ambiance and there is a vintage pine dining table that seats 8-10 people. The view of the bay is spectacular from anywhere in the room thru the southwest wall of windows, and there is a sliding glass door that leads out to the front deck. The kitchen is fully equipped and has all stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, microwave, large refrigerator and a Jenaire stove with a convection oven.
BEDROOMS:
Master Suite- This large bedroom with sitting area has a king-sized bed and its own private bathroom with an antique claw foot tub, custom tiled shower and a walk-in closet. The bedroom has its own woodstove, TV/cable and spectacular views of the bay and ocean from the south windows and whitewater views of Doran Beach from the west window. Leave the windows open and listen to the relaxing sound of the waves from this bedroom.
Bedroom #2- This large bedroom has a king-sized bed with a walk-in closet and has great views of Doran Beach and the golf course. It also has private access to a deck through a door located in the bedroom. The large bathroom is conveniently located across the hallway. This bathroom has a large custom tiled shower that can easily fit 2 people and it also has access to the patio where the hot tub is located through its own sliding glass door.
Bedroom #3- This large bedroom has 2 twin beds made up together so that it can be used by a couple or 2 individuals. It has great views of Doran Beach and the golf course. The large bathroom is conveniently located across the hallway and is shared with bedroom#2. This bathroom has a large custom tiled shower that can easily fit 2 people and it also has access to the patio where the hot tub is located through its own sliding glass door.

This house is very close to the water with a short 2 minute walk. It has a nice view of the ocean outside the living room sliding glass doors. Very Nice!! The property was clean with few exceptions. It is a nice comfy clean home that I would recommend. There were 8 of us and we were very comfortable. One of the guests was in a wheelchair and she did fine.The only thing to keep in mind is that it has a very small kitchen. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again.The price was right! Enjoy!
Recommended for:People with disabilities, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

On the positive side, Spyglass is a nice house, fully equipped and well-furnished. Everything was clean and neat. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. Less satisfactory was its situation and outlook-- perhaps I should have read the description of the location with more skepticism, but the house is located in a corner tucked between two other houses and has a view in one direction mainly of a gully between the first tee and the first fairway and in the other some view -- mostly over a road (cars were sometimes parked on it) and houses -- of the water; also visible from that side is the backside of the ninth green. The decks were very small and only one of them of any real use to us. It was a pleasant place but did not seem like a house on a bluff with white water views of the ocean and the golf course fairway on the other.
