  This was our 2nd time at Paradise Regained and in Utila. My son and I came to explore the island before bringing the rest of the family. JJ and TIna are wonderful and will do anything to help your vacation be the best! We could not take the ferry the day we were leaving because of rain and wind. They stayed the entire time at the small Utila airport with us while we waited, decided and then flew to La Ceiba to go to San Pedro Airport instead of Roatan. I am so glad we decided to follow this.. After hours of waiting for the clouds to lift, a small aircraft pilot said he would take us to La Ceiba. If we would of gone with others to Roatan, it would of taken us 2 extra days to return home. What an absolute blessing and what fun we had drinking beer with TIna and JJ. Thank you! The house is the BEST location on Utila! Thank you

  This is my 7th trip back to Utila and we stayed at Paradise Regained. This is a large 4 bedroom home on the water. The newest addition to this fabulous home is the POOL, a salt water pool that is filled every two days with ocean water. I would highly recommend this property for families with children and absolutely wonderful for adults. The property managers, Tina & JJ were superb. Our favorite new restaurant/dock bar is REHAB with a great kitchen and excellent food. Paradise Regained is a must for those looking for a quiet area to enjoy Utila since town can be a bit too loud at night. Plus, you enjoy sitting on the deck watching all the dive boats anchor just off the house. Some days divers from town will pull up in the TUK TUK (local cab for $2.00) and swim from the beach in front of the home. Just a great setting.

  We stayed at Paradise Regained for a month in March 2012 and enjoyed it tremendously. The house is situated about a 10-15 minute walk to town on the East side of the village. It is private, quiet with superb access to the ocean about 20 paces away. We are snorkelers and found the access easy to the reef and beyond. Access is a bit more difficult for divers especially in low tide, but we saw quite a few divers find their way past the reef to open water. The reef in front of the house is one of the best on the south side of Utila with a steep wall dropping off to the sea floor below. Quite a few eagle and sting rays for the viewing. Water clarity is amazing-the best we've seen in the Caribbean. The house offers all you need with the premier living area being the wrap-around deck adorned with rocking chairs to make your stay even more decadent. Sunrises and sunsets on the deck are a mandatory activity. Your hosts, Tina and JJ, are wonderful, helpful folks who have answers to all your questions and who make your stay even more enjoyable. We have visited quite a few of the islands in the Caribe but none has won our hearts like Utila, and Paradise Regained was a big part of that attraction. Have I mentioned the remarkable, ever-present sea breeze blowing across the deck? That alone was worth the price of admission. Run, don't walk, to rent this house and enjoy Utila before it loses its charm and quaintness and becomes just another Caribbean island!

  It is often easier to write a damaging review rather a resounding one; so let me be the exception. I have traveled over the entire world as an Airline Pilot and have yet to see a more beautiful location than Cindy and Jon have here in Utila. If you really want to 'get away' from your rat race, look no further - THIS is the place. The front facing lagoon, with its diverse aquatic life is so serene that you'll want to have your morning coffee for more than just the morning. Cindy and Jon have entertained Astronauts, World Record Holders and other celebs here for obvious reason. To use an old cliche, "it just doesn't get any better than this." If you dive, which may be why you have chosen Paradise Regained for starters; their home sits on the 2nd largest reef on the planet. The dive boats actually moor just outside your 'front door!' And - oh yes, if you choose the lazy route, as have I, the dive shops will deliver your tanks to the house. Dr Tina and JJ are your concierges. You will not find a couple more willing to meet your needs than they, and I have seen many. I will return again and plan to tell all of my friends and fellows that they need look no further than Cindy and Jon's little 'peace' of paradise.

  What a wonderful vacation home! Just returned from Paradise Regained and the property managers, JJ & Tina went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed on our honeymoon. Complimentary cold beer and champagne for the newlyweds. If we had any questions or needs they were immediately taken care of. The views from the deck are terrific, especially at sunset. The home is located directly in front of the reef. Many days divers were dropped off by the local cab. They would suit up and swim out to the reef where the dive boats were located. The dive boats anchor directly in front of the house. How wonderful is that! Marvelous locations for divers to spend their vacation. Or if you are visiting to learn how to dive, this is the place to stay, clean, quiet and just minutes from town. Town can be very noisy so be aware of that when you are booking your reservation. Dive centers are located on the only main street on the Island resulting in motor bikes, golf carts and 4wheel suv's traveling back and forth all day in front of your dive center. Can't say enough about this location if you are a diver or snorkel enthusiast. Home was in excellent condition and the photo's say it all for this property. Just beautiful. Highly recommend this property to couples, divers but not for young children. Thank you JJ & Tina...I also hear the owner is a real hoot too. Invites divers to stop in for a cocktail now and then. ENJOY!

  A friend and I rented one of the apartments for 4 nights. JJ and Tina were extremely helpful working with us when we needed to change our dates last minute, as well as provided us with other necessities as needed and accomodating. They let us borrow a few things during our stay which helped immensely and they were very friendly. They also helped arrange transportation to the ferry very early in the morning. The location is outside of the main part of town, within about a 10-15 min walk. However, its a very dark walk in the evenings, so it should be noted that if you are both female, you might feel safer taking a taxi which will cost about $2-$3 each person, each way. We were initially worried when payment in full was asked upfront without any receipt or contract, but all transactions were safely and honestly handled, and the property lived up to the descriptions here. Thank you for the great accommodations!

  Just wanted to thank you for letting us share your piece of paradise. The snorkeling was fantastic and a quick wade out to the reef. The bikes were nice since they were all brand new! Leo, your caretaker, took great care of our every need. He even had beer delivered to the house!! What a great experience!! We'll be back for sure. Can't wait!! What a place to stay. Thanks again.
