Rancho el Mirador
Rancho el Mirador
My husband and I have rented several condos in the Palm Springs area and this is easily our favorite. The condo is very clean and bright and the grounds are beautiful. We walked everyday - to downtown, to Ruth Hardy park and around the Movie Colony neighborhood. Jim was very professional, prompt and courteous with the business side of things. Our stay here was one of the best VRBO bookings that we’ve done.

Owner response: We're glad you enjoyed your stay at our condo at Rancho el Mirador in Palm Springs. Thank you for sharing the photo of the rainbow you took from the front balcony. Great picture!
We enjoyed our stay at El Mirador! The condo was very nice (e.g. comfortable beds, nice towels, and had everything you needed); was easy to get to and from; the scenary from the balcony facing the pool/mountain was enjoyable (with the coffee and Bailey's!)! We enjoyed our experience at the condo and would definitely stay there again!!! Thank you for sharing the condo with us!

Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.
This is a perfect home away from home for a relaxing vacation, quietly nestled walking distance from the downtown area with an awesome view of the mountain in the background. The balcony of this second story condo overlooks a well groomed garden area that surrounds a pool, a jacuzzi, and a tennis court. We sat there often relaxing, enjoying the view and listening to the birds singing that visited the large palm trees at our doorstep. The condo is tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. We enjoyed daily morning walks downtown even stepping into interesting shops and spending money while our husbands stayed home and played tennis for their exercise. We all enjoyed golfing which is easily accessible and the prices vary. Our two weeks flew by and we certainly recommend this well kept little charming condo in a romantic setting.

01/17/08 There is alist of things;Shirley and myself,(Madeline) enjoyed staying at Rancho El Mirador,291 E Mel Avenue, Palm Springs,Ca. So close to several events; one must see. Thursday Night's Street Fairs, and especially the Aerial Tramway, in Palm Springs. And now about our home away from home. A very relaxing 2 bedroom upper floor condo;many thanks for those awesome beds. We enjoyed many hours with our glass of wine on the patio, viewing the Mt.San Jacinto; which is so beautiful to see. Also watching other people enjoying themselves in the pool; hot tub; or just playing a game of tennis. Oh, yes; we also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Thanks Jim and Bill for such a wonderful place to stay and enjoy ourselves. Just think; back home in Canada, our family and friends were enjoying lots and lots of snow. Thanks; Shirley and Madeline will return Shirley Buchberger Madeline Brandt Canada.

This is a very relaxing condo complex - one that assists me in winding down from a tense season at work. My stays from August through December periodically have been different each and every time. Palm Springs has the hustle and bustle of a resort city but after September becomes very much its own quiet lady. This 2 bedroom upper floor condo unit provides a nice distance from the active merchant and restaurant downtown area and yet not so far away that you can't just hop in the car and be there in less than 5 minutes. Sitting on the balcony, enjoying the morning tea while the sunlight starts casting its shadows on Mt San Jacinto gives me time to be thankful for the quiet moments. The new beds are great and I'm thinking I need a new mattress at home that allows me the same comfortable sleep as I've had in this vacation rental. Looking forward to many, many more enjoyable stays at your condo at Rancho El Mirador.

Thank you so much for our wonderful stay at your place. This was our first visit to Palm Springs and we could not have asked for anything more pleasant and relaxing. All the details placed into the layout of the property, decor, landscaping, etc. were excellent. We very much appreciated the location of the property being so close to the various venues and the Thursday Night Street Fair. Thanks again for your generous hospitality. Jose and I hope to return again!

Owner response: We enjoyed having you stay. We're glad you were able to see some of the sites and experience the Thursday night street fair. It is also one of our favorite things to do in Palm Springs. There's still a long list of things you'll probably enjoy about the Palm Springs area with your future visits. Looking forward to your return to our desert oasis. /jim and bill

Hi, this is Jim and Bill, new owners of this condo unit at Rancho El Mirador as of August 2006. Our unit was previously handled by a local rental agency in Palm Springs for the past several years and we’re interested in hearing any and all comments from individuals who may have rented. There was no guest book passed along with the unit so this is your opportunity to make comments concerning your previous stays. We would like to hear your comments as a means to improve on the unit for future renters.Since our purchase of the unit, we have replaced the Queen bed in the MBR with a standard King bed with great support for your back. The 2nd bedroom also has had the two twin beds replaced with a new Queen bed with similar mattress support. We have ideas but it will take time to make the changes we’d like to see. In the mean time, thank you in advance for giving us your feed back./jim and bill
