Our oceanview home at Kapa’a Sands on the Royal Coconut Coast of Kaua'i provides privacy and tranquility for your Hawaiian vacation. You can lie in bed and look out of the lanai while you feel the gentle breeze of the tradewinds and listen to the sounds of the ocean and the rustling coconut palm trees. Our recently re-decorated townhome condominium has new carpeting, ceiling fans, rattan furniture, a fully stocked kitchen, and plenty of closet space.
The two lanais have ocean views, and one bedroom has a separate entrance with a private staircase. The second bedroom has views of Sleeping Giant Mountain. The spacious family room has a lanai that leads to a manicured lawn with tropical landscaping, and then down to Turtle beach on Wailua Bay where the sea turtles feed and endangered monk seals sunbathe.
Kapa'a Sands is a gracious and intimate beachfront resort tucked away in Papaloa Cove. Only seven miles from the airport, it's centrally located yet quiet, with some of the best weather on the island. Private and luxuriantly landscaped, it's just a short walk from Kapa'a Sands to Coconut Marketplace, where you'll find a variety of shops, restaurants and a movie theater. In addition to swimming, snorkeling and boogie boarding, an assortment of other activities are available nearby. These include several golf courses, helicopter tours of the island, kayaking on the Wailua River, trips to the Fern Grotto, luaus, catamaran rides, scuba diving, and of course surfing.
The condominium is built on the site of a former Shinto Temple and has maintained both the architecture and character of its heritage. There are only 20 rental homes in this 'boutique' resort. An ancient Hawaiian holy site known as Kukui Heiau is within walking distance, as are a lava wading pool for children, and a secluded beach area.
