This townhome is part of boutique resort by the ocean where you can really get away from the crowds. Relax on the lanais and look out at the ocean. With plenty of space it feels much more like a home than a hotel room. Our townhome condominium is well cared for by the resort staff and owners. The second bedroom contains a double bed and dresser for an additional adult or kids. On the ground floor the lanai leads to a lawn with tropical landscaping, and then down to Turtle beach on Wailua Bay where sea turtles feed.
Kapa'a Sands is an intimate beachfront resort tucked away in Papaloa Cove. It's centrally located on the island, yet very quiet. The Coconut Marketplace is a 5 minute walk down Papaloa road, and the little town of Kapa'a also with restaurants and shops is a few minutes away by car.
The condominium is a taste of "old Hawaii" with it's lush landscape, small number of homes, and quiet setting. There are only 20 rental homes in this resort. The beach front provides a lava wading pool for children. The swimming pool area has tropical gardens surrounding it and a gas barbecue for guests. Because of the small number of homes the pool area can often be unoccupied. This vacation home is available directly from the owner at considerable savings. As an added convenience reservations and payment are handled by the resort front desk the same way full price customers pay for their stay.

- Housekeeping Service: We offer limited housekeeping service - fresh towels daily, removal of trash, damp mopping and wiping down bathroom sink, shower. On reservations of 7 nights or longer the linens are changed and the condo is vacuumed and dusted. Housekeeping is done between 9:30 am and Noon, Monday through Saturday. No housekeeping on Sunday or Holidays. We do provide extra towels for guests to use on Sundays and Holidays. We try and have all the rooms completed by Noon. Guests who have the "Do Not Disturb" sign out, do not get service that day.

Why the Owner Chose Kapaa
We visited Kauai on a discounted trip to listen to a timeshare presentation in Princeville. We thought this island is really fantastic with it's lush landscape, beaches, hiking, and low key towns. So we decided to look into purchasing a place we could vacation to. This unit at Kapaa Sands became available and we like how we get to be near the ocean, the resort is really small and low key with the buildings well spaced apart. It's our first and probably only investment property and we treat it as our 2nd home, hoping to spend more time there in the coming years.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Staying near the ocean is fantastic. It is wonderful to see and hear it especially when laying in bed. Sometimes it can be too loud and we have to shut the sliding door. We love how at Kapaa Sands you can really relax. You're also on a good location to visit other parts of the island which is important to us since we plan on coming back as much as we can and want to enjoy the variety of the different areas of Kauai. We've stayed at big resorts, but to us this is a better fit where there's still resort staff, but it doesn't feel crowded.
