My husband and I truly enjoyed our honeymoon getaway to Bend. We felt right at home here! This rental home was so comfortable: large kitchen, spacious rooms, gas fireplace. I have to admit, we didn't venture out overly much (it *was* our honeymoon), but it was so easy to stay inside and cuddle in front of the fireplace, while watching the scenic view through the picturesque floor-to-ceiling windows (well, and yes, Thursday Night Football on HDTV!). It snowed the last two days of our trip which made it so much more romantic and fun. I really enjoyed watching the snow fall through the skylights! They provided a handbook with maps to get you around the city (which is beautiful!) and recommended places for eating (we 2nd the vote for Kanpai -- when you'd like to treat yourself to something really yummy!) Thank you for making everything so easy! We recommend this house to everyone!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS IN BEND OREGON 2010

This is the perfect house for the family that respects the many attributes that we found upon our arrival for our family reunion during the Christmas Holidays. As we were driving to Bend, there was room in the car for all the comforts that help to make tasks easier away from home...crock pot, carving set for the turkey, roasting pan making up about two boxes. None of these were needed. For the Gourmet cooks..the kitchen has all the utensils, herbs and cookware you would ever need plus a gas stove and a most quiet dishwasher. It is a very cozy warm home with lots of windows for sunlight with comfortable furniture and jetted hottub for those sore muscles after skiing at Mt. Bachelor.(20 miles away). Location is the best as the West Side is only minutes away as well as the Old Mill District. I could only imagine how great the location would be in the area of so many golf courses, bicycle and walking trails during the summer months. I would recommend this home for two families that want to be together for a total of six members. We used the upstairs with the king bed for the parents with two girls in a queen bed sharing the upstairs bath. The main floor was reserved for the grandparents where the bathroom was also shared with others on the main floor. There is only one step up into the house and in a very quiet neighborhood. GREAT VALUE!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

The house is very comfortable with an AWESOME hot tub to soak the days after ride in! So nice we hardly ever wanted to leave. Would DEFINITELY stay again - we would like to make this our annual trip!!! The owners were great with easy and wonderful communication! Can't say enough good things about the house and the area it's in!!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Not sure where to start, but simply put, this was one of the most enjoyable vacations I've ever experienced. Last summer, I took my family on a cruise to Alaska and that was great and all, but in a way, it didn't compare to this trip. The house is a home - you feel good when you come back to it after a day of hiking, rafting, floating or one of the million other things to do in Bend. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfy, the neighborhood is quiet (although don't be surprised by a late night howl fest from the local coyotes!) - everything I had hoped for. This is my first time renting a home through VRBO and I can confidently say I'll never stay in a hotel again when it comes to this sort of family vacation. Instead of four of us cramped in one hotel room, my son and daughter each had their own space and my wife and I had ours. Thanks so much! I look forward to returning to Bend in the near future!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Comment Rating: positive Comment Text: Absolutely delightful stay! Our daughter, son-in-law, their 4 and 2 year old, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed your home. Great location, terrific kitchen (only thing missing was a milk fluffer to make my morning cafe au lait), wonderful outdoor access, and no knick knacks to attract small hands! We will definitely recommend to friends and family. We're looking forward to coming back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Nicely appointed comfortable home with territorial view. Excellent location for short drive to skiing at Mt. Bachelor. Out the door for scenic road and forest service mountain biking yet so convenient and close to Bend. Easy access to an extensive walking/running/cycling trail system into Bend. I sure would like to return again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

My wife and I have enjoyed this private home several times. It has beautiful views of Mt Bachelor. There are awesome mountain biking trails right outside your door to forest service land. When everybody else is leaving to go skiing at bachelor at 6am, we can head out at 8am and be there when the lifts open!! At night you are far enough away from the cities lights that when you're sitting back in the hot tub you can almost touch the thousands of stars in the sky!! I totally recommend this vacation home!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

This house truly felt like a home during our stay this winter. There was plenty of storage for all our winter gear, and roomy enough for great dinners together with friends. The drive to the mountain is so quick and easy, and we also found a new walking trail that leads to the Deschutes River just outside the front door! Our favorite part is how quiet and private the property is - it makes soaking in the hot tub nice and peaceful. Thanks for such a great place to come home to during our vacation.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
