"In terms of the music you are either in McDermott's, McGann's, or O'Connors or heading over." -Playwright John Doorty
Tigh Amu - at the heart of the village.
Tigh Amu (gaelic for "the house of Amu," my sister's married name) sits at the end of a private road surrounded by beautiful quiet countryside, yet it is only a five-minute walk to the lively pubs in Doolin village. Doolin is famed as the home of traditional Irish music and its sea food restaurants. Doolin is the ferry port for the Aran Islands and a short drive from the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, and the largest Stalactite in the Northern Hemisphere (now open to the public and a must see).
Tigh Amu is a spacious modern Irish country home, with a large kitchen/diner. It also features an open fireplace built from Connemara marble in the living room. Both the living room and the family room have sliding doors leading out onto the garden affording lovely country views.
