A Sanctuary on Blueberry Lake - this peaceful natural haven rests on the edge of 1000 acres of Green Mountain National Forest. The surrounding valley is home to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen Ski Areas with plenty of four-season activities.
Sanctuary is an architecturally designed dream home and boasts five-plus bedrooms, four baths, accommodating 14-plus persons with four fireplaces, two Jacuzzis baths, hot tub on the deck, meditation cupola, and additional sleeping in the Yoga loft, Zen den, and screened porch, 52 windows look out at Vermont's natural beauty at its finest.
The location is private with magnificent views. There are only two houses on Blueberry Lake, Sanctuary and the Cottage on Blueberry Lake.
There are special details at every distinguishable turn. The furnishings are soft, subtle, and comfortable, and there is natural light pouring in from every direction. The living room and dining room are light and open and perfect for entertaining. Including TV, VCR, DVD, stereo, phones in most bedrooms, wireless internet. The chef's kitchen has everything you need for simple to gourmet cuisine. The decor of the house is Asian and each room is themed with special accents.
Owner Rita Brown who founded Vermont Country Weddings and The Mad River Music Festival has an extensive background in the wedding and event planning industry in Vermont over the past 20 years. The grounds at Sanctuary accommodate weddings for two to 200 persons, above 40 persons are outdoors in custom-made tents. The property has colorful flower gardens, patios, decks, arbors, and lake and mountain views. The optional catering and cuisine at Sanctuary is created with integrity and visual beauty, using local, organic produce. The staff is attentive, friendly, and professional. Rita handles every detail to allow total enjoyment and a relaxed memorable experience.
The adjoining property has a lakefront cottage with four bedrooms and three baths with fireplace and Jacuzzi for two in the master. The recreation room has a pool table, big screen TV, screened porch, large deck, and breathtaking views of Blueberry Lake.

A Sanctuary on Blueberry Lake is a nature lover's dream with wildlife all around including deer, beavers, moose, herons, hummingbirds, migrating geese, and many other wild birds. There is berry picking and a canoe and kayak are on shore for your pleasure.
There are two vacation homes on premises that accommodate up to 30 persons total and an outdoor lake-view site for special events for up to 200 persons. Sanctuary is perfect for retreats, reunions, workshops, conferences, and private parties with full catering.
