My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at the cottage. It was wonderful to wake up in the morning and walk into the living room and see that lovely view... not to mention the evening sunsets! The kitchen was very well equipped - and cooking never seemed a chore with all that beauty outside the window. The deck in the back was so peaceful, a perfect place to curl up with a book and feel like you were almost a part of the woods. I also enjoyed some long walks on the surrounding roads, and my husband and I had a couple of great breakfasts at the The Cottage in East Chatham. We hope to come back - maybe next year.

This little house is perfect. Very cozy, perfectly proportioned for 2 to 3 people, and nicely appointed with everything that you need to take care of yourself. It has all the you would expect--comfortable bedroom, nice bathroom, fully equipped kitchen--but the best part is the outdoor space, and your access to it. There is a great wrap around porch, and--my favorite--tons of windows. One whole wall of the house is covered with 5 large windows, and you can just sit there and watch the weather and life of the hillside unfold below. We watched amazing sunsets, banks of rolling fog, and a truly awesome lighting storm. Spectacular. It was like having a big screen tv on the world. I would highly recommend this property.

My wife and I spent one tremendously enjoyable week looking over the fall foliage and views of the mountains from the chalet. Everything we needed was there. Our host, Chris, was gracious, the view is spectacular, and the place is clean and well maintained. The opportunity to sit on the deck and smell the pines in the air was refreshing. It was the best vacation we've had in a long time. If you're looking for a get-away retreat where you can relax, go for a walk on wooded roads, and then refresh yourself in the hot tub or sauna, this is the place.

The pictures on this site do not do this property justice. The view outside the front window is breath taking. We arrived early afternoon to this place & it was like a dream, fluffy clouds drifting by birds chirping. The "chalet" is designed very well. The lighting is perfect, you can adjust the brightness to suit the mood you are in. The jacuzzi is perfect for two & the sauna is a great way to start the day. I am a musician & I actually wrote three songs while sitting in a chair facing the front window. My wife & I will most definatly be back here. The owners Chris & Cynthia are very sweet & accomidating people. This far exceeded my expectations.If you are a romantic couple or a couple in need of some quality time surrounded by nature away from it all, I highly advise you to take an extended weekend here. hands down best get away my wife & I have done together in our 6 years married. Thanks Chris & Cynthia!!!
