This wonderful woodland cottage sits secluded on acres of ancient rhododendron, laurel, and majestic trees. The Stoney Brook Cottage is VRBO's largest rental on a stream in Brevard.
The newly revived 1960's cottage sits next to a brisk stream that tumbles down the mountainside where it has cut its path for centuries. View the mountain fauna along the stream from the covered deck as you picnic in the forest canopy. You can also retreat to the screened porch out back to sip coffee as the song birds enjoy the first rays of sunshine.
The Stoney Brook Cottage is located only six miles from DuPont State Forest with it's incredible waterfalls and over 80 miles of hiking and mountain bike trails and also only six miles from the Pisgah National Forest where you will find the Davidson River which boast more trophy trout per mile than any other stream in the country as well as tubing and Sliding Rock!
Oh yes, the cotage has WiFi high speed internet. There is also a seven-person hot tub overlooking the stream, a wood burning fireplace, a game room with foosball, darts, board games, and cable TV. Over 1700 square feet of heated living space provides you with two queen bedrooms with walk-in closets, two full baths, living room, fully-equipped kitchen, large game room with double bed futon & rollaway, and full laundry. All linens, towels, paper products, hand soap, dish soap, laundry soap provided.
When the day is through and you have hiked the National Forests and its waterfalls, you can retreat to your private cottage and still be in the middle of nature's beauty. It is everything you are looking for...
