Condado is a very lively place and the condo is in a perfect location for beach, bars and restaurants. Only 10 mins to airport. Carlos sorted everything out and Sonia the cleaner did a great job. The condo is very spacious and has everything you would possibly need. The bedroom on the front can be quite noisy from traffic and the gym underneath does start music quite early in the mornings but after a couple of nights we hardly noticed. We felt very safe and enjoyed our stay. Great value for money and only 2 blocks from the Marriott hotel which we used whilst waiting for a late flight home. Highly recommended!

Finally, a rental where the owner thought about the small details that make for comfort. This is in a great location and the master bedroom is perfect. Good reading lights by the bed, great closet space, clean and everything maintained. After we arrived, I mentioned to Carlos that the coffee maker was a little sluggish. He was back in hours with a new one. He has a wonderful cleaning person and is all you could ask for in an owner. We were two couples who stayed over Christmas and we were so lucky to have chosen this apartment. Great restaurants and groceries available at the Walgreens just across the street. By the way, if you are planning to stay in San Juan you must have dinner at Marmalade in Old San Juan. Absolutely unforgettable. Don't bother with a car. Taxi's are inexpensive and everywhere. You will not go wrong with this apartment !

The pictures and description do not do this place justice. the apartment is beauriful and very clean. We stayed there for 1 week and did not have any problems. It is located about 20 feet from the beach and next to all of the major hotels in condado. Carlos was also an excellent landlord and very friendly. We definitely recommend this rental!

We recently returned fron a family vacation to PR and stayed at this apartment. Everything was in order and we had no complaints whatsoever. The apartment is clean, spacious, and well stocked. There are plenty of towels, sheets, and bedding for everyone to use. The building is a little old, but the apartment is nicely appointed in an "art deco" sort of style. Tons of drawers to store clothing. The den and separate living room provide good space to move around and not feel cramped. The bedroom are both good sized. Simple things like "coffee maker filters" were there. (That's the type of thing I usually forget to purchase). There was laundry detergent to use and dish soap to clean up with. The building is secure with a gated lock at the entrance, as well as to the unit. The terrace was steps away for smokers to use....very convenient. We had a good time in PR and Carlos is a conscientous owner! I recommend this as a great place for families to stay when visiting San Juan. Thanks for everything, Carlos!

Carlos and his wife were the perfect hosts. The apartment was beautiful, clean and very well stocked with all the amenities plus some you wouldn't have even thought of. It was just a short walk to the beach. Plenty of shopping on the avenue. There were 4 woman enjoying this lovely apartment. It was just perfect. Thank you Carlos. I would recommend this very highly. We were there from May 12, 2011 to May 15, 2011.

We just stayed at this property the week of March 30 thru April 6, 2011 and it was just an awesome experience. This is the sencond time using VRBO.COM and have not been let down. Everything went smoothly, the condo was very spacious. Carlos thought of everything! He even let us check in early. The 2 space parking was very beneficial, since parking is at a premium in the area. My friends that went with us were very impressed with the accomodations and loved the set up of the condo. The 2 master bedrooms was a plus specially with each one having a master bathroom. I would not hesitate to use this property again.

Da Vinci Rental - El Condado Puerto Rico

The rental unit was clean, well-equipped, and spacious, but the best thing was the location. We were right in the heart of the El Condado district with a beautiful beach 1 block away, any type of restaurant you could possibly want, casinos, and shops. The people in the area were extremely friendly, and we felt safe walking anywhere anytime. Carlos and Mariana are lovely people ready to accommodate you.

Can't Be Beat For The $$$ - Better Than Advertised

Over the years I have rented many properties and by far our two week stay at Carlos's beautiful apartment was the best yet. Everything specified in the listing was accurate and then some. Very clean, secure, and well stocked. All papergoods are supplied as well as a variety of much needed sunblock. When we left there were at least 6 varieties. Internet access perfect; both ethernet and wireless worked flawlessly. Sleeping was not a problem. Both master bedrooms had very comfortable mattresses as well as AC and nice circular fans in both. Washer & dryer in the unit a huge plus. No issues. Ahh the beach! On the same block as the ocean literally a one minute walk. Lounge chairs, beach towels, and coolers (3!) supplied the big one with wheels. Also the large "commercial" lounges can be rented for only $3 a day! We went that route. Wonderful mango, passion fruit diaquiries to order on the beach as well as other libations from the hotel on the beach at the end of the same block apt is on. Food and shopping conventient as well. Many many fine restaurants on Ashford (the street the apt faces) as well as 24 hr Walgreens, Dunkin Donuts, Wendy's, and other ff establishments. Breakfasts on Ashford (forget the name - the one with the wooden chairs close to Walgreens) very inexpensive and tasty. In our two weeks I think we only cooked breakfast twice. Kitchen has all needed. Blender, microwave, coffee maker, full size fridge and stove. Trash dump right outside your doors. Very secure (w/2 full set of keys) and gated underground parking, elevator, wonderful friendly residents in the building. What else can I say. We will definately be back for another two in 2013. A couple of days of Fun

My wife and 2 teenagers arrived from our cruise ship in late morning and Carlos vary graciously agreed to meet us at the condo for an early check in. The condo is in a non-descript building in the heart of Condado, (above a very well equipped gym that is not affiliated with the condo) 1/2 block from the beach and a block and half from the Marriott, which does in fact have the best base in Condado. It is a premium location with literally dozens of resaurants with a few blocks ranging from Starbucks, Wendy's and Subway to fine dining of various types. The Condo itself was large, clean and comfortable and included wifi, underground parking, washer dryer, full kitchen, cooler for the beach, 2 beds plus an aero bed, two full baths, 3 tvs, a patio, etc, etc. You could basically live there indefinitely - if you continue to pay the rental ;-). You really don't need a car from there unless you want to get out of the San Juan, and even then most of the tours will provide transportation if you want it. Carlos was a pleasure to deal with. My only reluctance in writing a great review is that the place will be booked up the next time I want to stay there, because I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent Location!

My friends and I (total 4) stayed at this condo for 4 nights at the end of May and loved it. The location is excellent. It is close to everything (restaurants, Walgreens, bars, Starbucks, gift shops across the street). It is right on Ashford Ave. There is private underground parking if you decide to rent a car like we did. The condo building is very secured as it requires many keys to get inside. It is practically beachfront, just a few steps away and you are on Condado Beach. We also saved money on breakfast/lunch by going to the grocery store and cooking in the kitchen. They also provide beach chairs for the beach. There are countless amenities in the condo (more towels and linens you ever need, soap, shampoo, etc). The owner's parents were at the condo to meet us and they were very warm and friendly and took us on their car for a drive around the area to show us where to eat and shop. (Try Positano for Italian food). There is only one complaint and it is the 2nd bedroom (queen size bed); the air conditioner unit is in that room and it is very loud. The balcony door also did not close all the way; so there was loud noise during the nights.Other than that, we had a great time and would love to come back. Thanks to Carlos and his parents.

Great Apartment in Condado

My family and I (4 adults and a 2 year old) just returned from a wonderful trip to Puerto Rico. While in San Juan we stayed in this apartment for a total of 4 nights and it was perfect for us. The apartment was nicely furnished, very spacious and had secure parking. It was well located in Condado near the beach and main strip of restaurants. It was also only a short drive to Old San Juan and highways to explore the rest of Puerto Rico. The reservation process was smooth and Carlos and his wife were very nice and helpful. We'd recommend this lovely apartment. Thanks Carlos!

The owner, Carlos, was a delight to work with, and the 2 bed roomn/2 bath air conditioned apt is lovely. Carlos has provided all the "comforts of home", including including 3 TV's, wifi, etc. - all the amentities one would want, including kitchen supplies and staples. A very secure building, 2 minute walk to the LaConcha Hotel, near the the beach and walking distance to great restaurants. We highly recommend this property!

We really enjoyed the place. The apartment was clean, there was plenty of space for everybody staying there, and we were just half a block from the beach. The location right between hotels and near a bunch of bars was great too. Having a secure parking space was also very nice. We came down for the World Baseball Classic and found that the stadium is a close drive, as is Old San Juan. Carlos was great to work with us on out-of-the-ordinary arrival and departure times. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is at the unique location 1 step from the beach, close to everything. Special thanks to Carlos!!! me and my friends from Europe arrived at 2am. Carlos met us and checked us in, showing the place. It's loaded with all you need incl. extra supplies, like dish soap, paper towels etc... spacious, secure, very clean, internet, land line, washer/dryer. The beach, shopping, dining, bars, bus stop to old Sun Juan, awesome customer service- what else you need for the best vacation ever ??!!. We will spread the word on both the continents. Home Away From Home

Went and visited family and friends during the Christmas and New Year holiday. The accommadtions were excellent and better than staying in a hotel. The customer service is excellent and very friendly. My stay was for two weeks and felt I was at home. The location is ideally suited for using a car or walking to shop, gamble, or entertainment. The decision is yours. The apartment is located on a street were there is outdoor cafes, hotel casinos, resturants whatever you desire, and a park on weekend and holidays that have concerts and festivals. Also a five minute walk to the beach. The apartment has plenty of literature on sightseeing, nightlife, and historic sights to visit. Highly recommended this rental to my family and friends.

Comfortable decor-walk to beach & casino's

The apartment was clean, nicely decorated, good beds, great layout and comfortable. The building itself is a little less. I had hard time sleeping in King room with the ongoing club music and nightlife. If you like night life and clubbing this is great for you. Nice beach not far at all and apt. has everything you need-chairs, umbrella, cooler there was even sunscreen, washer dryer, and even some basics in the kitchen. Shopping is convenient with all upscale store nearby, like Louis Vuitton and Prada. Restaurants and 24 hr. Walgreens is nearby too. It is like staying in a home away from home. It was also very handy for the airport. The owner was good to deal with.

Owner response:The unit is located on Ashford Avenue...a busy street with a lot of nightlife, shops, restaurants, bars, and casinos. As a result, some outside noises can be heard at night. However, the unit is equipped with security windows which seal tight and reduce mostly all outside noise. After reading this post I verified the condition of the windows in the Master Bedroom and found that one of the windows was not making the seal. The window operator was defective. The window was fixed yesterday (July 7, 2008). Therefore outside noises, if any, should be minimal.

This was a great unit for two couples. We stayed four days, post cruise, and the location is perfect. Lots of shops, restaurants, fully equipped unit... couldn't ask for more. The hot water did go out, but it was the fault of the gas company with a major failure. Very close to the beach and local bus service, no car required. Owner was very personable and responded quickly to phone calls. Thanks for a good time.

Magnificent

We have just returned from a 4 nights stay at this apartment. The apartment is magnificent. It is one of those places that internet pictures simply do no justice. It was so lovely that it was hard to drag ourselves back to the airport and leave! The apartment and rooms are clean and modern, the towels are soft and fluffy. The rooms were a good size and each had there own bathroom. The first bedroom had a queen bed and a small deck that over looked the street. The second room was larger and had a king bed. We enjoyed the shared side deck with the view of the beach. The washer and drier also came in very handy! Everything we needed to enjoy the beach was included…beach chairs, towels, and a cooler. The kitchen was full of everything we needed to cook with and serve food. There was plenty of room to sit down and eat. There were four of us staying there and we had another couple over for dinner and we all had plenty of space at the table and in the living room. The apartment was centrally located. We could leave the apartment and walk to our left or right and find a good place to shop, eat or drink. The beach was located just off the back of the building. Just a short drive or cab ride brings you to Old San Juan. If your idea of a vacation includes staying at a modern, gorgeous apartment this is the place for you!

OK to Stay

We spent 4 days pre-cruise in San Juan and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were met late late at night by the owner who was very accomodating, giving us a tour of the apartment before turning the keys over.The property is not "new" by any means but it is kinda funky, well layed out,clean and fresh in a building that was surprisingly quiet. Well equipped (as advertised) and very well stocked, an ideal set up for 2 couples. We were there with 3 couples, which was OK but the 3rd couple had to sleep on the additional bed which turned out to be an air mattress on the floor. Allright for kids but not so good for adults. That would be about the only real complaint we had. The other beds were very comfortable, the A/C worked great, the showers hot. The location was excellent, 1/2 block to a good beach, close to some very good restaurants, short driving distance to Old San Juan. Especially enjoyed the terrace just outside the apartment. Would have no problem staying there again.

This apartment met the needs of my family, 3 young adults who were continuosly out and about. My husband and I went dancing at the Marriot Hotel next door. We were able to walk to many restaurants. The apartment is nice the ammenities are appropriate and the owner very personable.

Good Choice

The apartment was an excellent choice, was clean and well maintaned, the only bad thing the elevators were down from December 31 to January 7th. Good area, excellent restaurants and excellent people. Great to be working and having vacations, the beach and the hotels are next door!. Definetly I will stay again and be ready to do excercise again with the stairs! Parking space is an A+, but car is not really needed in Condado, with the bus and walking is great!

Owner response:I'm sorry about the problems with the elevator! We had a major repair that week which had the Passenger elevator out of service. The building also has a Cargo elevator which was in operation...I hope you used it if you had to carry any heavy stuff. The unit is on a second floor, so I'm sure it wasn't that bad. First of all my trip to Puerto Rico was amazing. I was pleasantly surprised by the condo that we rented. It is near the water, in a gated building, and in the heart of El Condado. It is a little hard to find, but well worth it. The condo is well furnished and there is plenty of room. This part of El Condado is turning into Miami Beach so there are alot of new buildings and expensive boutiques/stores nearby. There are also some great eating-places. I highly recommend this place!
