The Hamptons have a magical aura. You think of endless beaches, chic boutiques. world class restaurants. movie stars, and all the other things the glossy magazines splash across their pages.
Well, essentially this is true and our house in Wainscott is one of the many villages that make up East Hampton. The nice thing about Wainscott is the rural feel of the place. Yet it is only a few minutes to the shops and eclat of the Village of East Hampton - consistently named as one of the most charming villages in America.
The man who farms the acres of farm fields right on the way to the nearby Wainscott ocean beach is still there selling his fresh fruits and vegetables in the summer and pumpkins in the Fall. Most homes south of the highway, including ours, are on an acre or more and are wooded so everyone has privacy. Our three bedroom, two bath, International-style home is modern with a two-story open living room and a balcony which gives a feeling of space. The whole house was just remodeled with new furniture. new floors, rugs. bed treatments, lamps, art works, and granite countertops installed in the kitchen. The home looks wonderful and is very comfortable with a flat screen TV, DVD, TV cable, Broadband internet, a new entertainment center, new couches, etc.
Our pictures tell the rest of the story. The pool is large and heated 40 foot by 20 foot. The back area is very private with woods behind the pool for privacy on the one plus acre. We are centrally located and only a five minute drive to East Hampton village.

many years now and it's cheap. Clear low humidity weather and little rain
