My husband and I stayed here in November with our dog, Raven. The cabin is clean and homey -- with the best equipped kitchen of all the places we've stayed in Tahoe. Raven settled in immediately and started playing with her toys (it usually takes her a few nights to get comfortable at a new place). The home has no stairs anywhere, which is really nice for Raven, who's had knee surgery. As pet parents, we loved all the little touches -- like special dog towels, cookies, bowls, and a book about what to do with your pet in Tahoe! The location is great -- near the bike trail and close to the grocery store. We lucked out and had beautiful weather during our stay, so we were able to put Raven in a bike trailer and go on a family cycling trip. It was a lot of fun! However, Raven was instantly depressed when we got home. I think she likes the Tahoe Cabin better than our house :-) We will be back!

"We had a fabulous time at your cabin. Everything was as comfortable, convenient and enjoyable as we had hoped. The woodburning stove and portable heaters kept us cozy as the snow came down. The dining room and kitchen were welcoming and large, providing us with some memorable meals and late night cocoa sessions. The reading materials were entertaining and useful. We perused much of the visitor's notebook on the coffee table and found some great trivia and ideas for exploration. Your recommendation to use the free shuttle to Sierra at Tahoe was greatly appreciated and turned out great. Our greyhound and chihuahua acclamated quickly to the snow and appreciated the large backyard. The beds were tremendously comfortable as were the linens and comforters. The location of your place made for some nice daytrips to several points on the lake, and overall we had a very relaxing getaway. I can't think of anything that could be improved, and I appreciated your help and courtesy. Thanks very much and we'll think of you in the future for our mountain adventures."

"The cabin was spacious, very well equipped, and well laid out for meal preparation, sleeping and socializing. Most of the needed staples and all necessary pots, pans, plates and dishes were already there. We arrived at the tail end of a blizzard to find driveways plowed and everything accessible. Having the phone number of Rick, the very capable caretaker was reassuring and helpful. The driveway can accommodate three cars even during a blizzard. All wheel drive or 4 wheel drive is definitely recommended -- but no other precautions should be needed."

"The cabin was very clean and well-equipped; much more than we anticipated. We forgot things such as zip-lock bags, aluminum foil, etc. and these items were in the cabinets. Since we had toured the “wine country” we were glad that the cabin had wine glasses. My husband was delighted that the cabin had DSL and supplied the cable to download pictures from his camera. There was an ample supply of firewood for the wood stove (more than we expected). The snow shovel was very handy. The washer and dryer was a welcomed convenience. I didn’t have to pack dirty clothes."

Mary, We had a great time in your cabin our dog Candy a yellow lab had fun in the snow which she has never seen before. Everything was perfect very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was also very quiet. Hope to come back soon.

Hi Mary, We had a great time in your cabin. Your place is so comfortable and had everything that we needed. Weather was great too. Great location, quiet,yet close to everything. The master bed was fantastic! The cabin was wonderful, comfortable and well stocked with books, games and movies. The location was perfect, not too close to the downtown, but close enough to visit the hub or far enough to escape it. Also, close to the lake and all other forms of recreation that Tahoe has to offer.

This cabin, perfectly situated in an area that feels remote, but is close enough for easy access to the mountains, to the lake, and to town businesses, is the perfect place to relax after a busy day of activity in the outdoors of Tahoe. Our family enjoyed the simple and comfy decor, the spaciousness, and the cleanliness of this cabin. We wish we could have stayed longer to make use of the binder that was filled with detailed, useful information about things to do in the Tahoe area. We will definitely keep this place in mind for our future trips out there!

The cabin was great - we especially liked the old kitchen range. They don’t make them like that anymore. The kids enjoyed the games and the books. We really got lucky with the snow! We all had a great time

Cabin was a great getaway for the weekend. Very good cabin for social groups that enjoy large dinners with friends and enjoy relaxing afterwards in spacious living room. I suggest you fight for the master bedroom, the bed is awesome. Best wood burning stove yet!

Hello Mary, we finally arrived [home] after a wonderful short vacation. We had a great time at your Cabin. It was very warm and we really enjoyed it, I cooked and used a lot of your utensils. The girls and Gibson went to Heavenly and to Sierra and had a ball. I had time to rest and read and enjoy the house with my doggy...We will go back with Gibson I will let you know when.

Absolutely everything at the cabin was wonderful! We immediately felt "at home" yet on vacation! …We enjoyed everything about your cabin from the wood stove to the kitchen to the backyard and TV. Having DSL was such a plus too! Oh yes, the shower head was really nice too!

WOW!!! What a great place, and you have fixed it up so beautifully. It is so cozy and comfortable. We had the absolute best time, just exactly what we were hoping for…The book with all the Tahoe info from restaurants to shopping was great… Everything from the candles, to the dog treats [including dog dishes!], to the fantastic decor was greatly appreciated!...Could not have been better.

I wanted to take a moment to say that we had a delightful stay at your cabin last week. We felt like being at home! The neighborhood was quiet, residents are friendly, and not too far away from major attractions. I'm even thinking of making a trip to Tahoe a regular (annual) routine for my family.

We absolutely loved your home. This location worked out great for bike rides, shopping and all other Tahoe experiences. I noticed that you have good quality items at the property; barbeque, stereo, bed, etc. The master bed mattress was much better the one I have at home. I slept like a baby on it.

Kevin and I really enjoyed our stay at your cabin. The weather was fabulous for the majority of the week, and even when it snowed that was okay too….staying in the cabin is like being at home – comfortable, functional, warm and friendly. Practically everything you could need is there, and we hated to have to leave. We also feel it is somewhere we could easily return to each year.

I just wanted to let you know that we had a great weekend staying at your cabin. Everyone found it very comfortable and cozy. It is furnished nicely, and we liked the bear theme. I liked the small personal heaters in the rooms. Also, the wood-burning stove really warmed up the cabin, and we appreciated the board games (Scrabble & Monopoly especially). My favorite moments in the cabin would probably be sitting together around the large, yet very intimate dining table at dinner. The condiments in the refrigerator were a nice touch as well. The oven heats up quickly, so I had garlic red potatoes baked to perfection. =) The kitchen overall was great, and the dishwasher made for easy clean-up. Thank you for having us as guests in your home.

Overall, I found the cabin to be very comfortable and warming. We liked the idea of having a pet-friendly cabin. Although we didn't bring our dog up because of the snow, we would probably bring him up during the summer.

Hi Mary, everything was wonderful, thank you so much! The kids had a great time and it was actually clear by Thursday so the roads were fine and we didn't hit any traffic. We can't think of anything that could have been added. The cabin was warm, inviting, and very comfortable. We found everything that we needed including things I forgot like coffee filters! We enjoyed the games and the book with things to do in Tahoe was very helpful. We also used the snow park pass on two days and we went to Heavenly on the third day. Thanks for everything.

I asked my wife about things we would relay to others about our experience. She joked that we may not be able to find a space again when more people find out about your cabin. I will say that the location is great in any season - in winter the ski shuttle is very convenient and in summer the bicycle rental and the beach are close by. There are additional things such as the binder of information and the firewood that you've provided at the cabin that are very nice. It's really great to be on vacation and relax and feel at home at the same time. Our pet also thanks you for the chance to vacation with us.

Just wanted to let you know that we had a great time up in Tahoe and everyone thought your cabin was great, a good size and good location (we go over to the Camp Richardson/Fallen Leaf areas, mostly)… This was the first time we have stayed in such a dog-friendly place, with a fenced back yard, and now I'm never going back to motels!
