The Harney View Log Cabin offers a spectacular view of the highest point in the Black Hills, Harney Peak at 7,242 feet in elevation. The cabin is three miles west of Hill City on the old Burlington Tract mining claim. Guests can step back in time while exploring the original miners shack still located on the property. The original owner claimed to have found gold on the property and spent the remainder of his life seeking his fortune.
Harney View Cabin is conveniently located to the major attractions in the Black Hills of South Dakota including, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Deadwood, and Crazy Horse Memorial. Newton Lake is just across the road from the property providing an excellent opportunity for kids of all ages to fish, and the picturesque Mickelson Trail is adjacent to the cabin.
Harney View Cabin has accommodations for up to 8 people. The cabin has two bedrooms with queen beds and one bedroom with a full bed, there is also a pullout sofa in the living room. There are 2 1/2 baths and the paper products are provided. The spacious kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, microwave, cookware, dinnerware, glassware, and seating at the dining room table for eight. The cabin is truly a home away from home with spectacular amenities including laundry facilities, gas fireplace, paved road, covered patio, 32 inch flat screen TV, picnic table and air conditioning.

This place is 5 star. Centrally located, clean, had everything we needed and lots of room. Grandpa and the kids had a wonderful time exploring outside. We loved it!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.
