You are going to love it! Sunset Beach is the southern most barrier island in North Carolina and the most relaxed. Our address is 422 2nd Street. For those of you who have been to the island before, we have lost the only drawbridge left on the east coast and will miss its island charm (but not the wait to cross the bridge). SB has miles of wide sand beach only a 2 minute walk to the beach access from our house. There must be 25 golf courses within 10 miles if you're not a beach bum. A handicap beach access is only one block away.( No steps involved with strollers!) Our home is ten years old and built large enough for everyone to "spread out". Two bedrooms are downstairs and two bedrooms and the loft area are upstairs. Please watch the video to see additional views of the house. The link is above the photo to the left.
We are able to sleep 10 guests when you include the futon in the loft. For 2012 we will include linens and towels for each guest in the weekly rental fee. We provide hand soaps and dishwasher detergent and start the year with the house stocked with food wraps and foils, ziplock bags, condiments and spices, and most paper products. We ask that if you use the last of a roll or item that you replace it for the next guests. Guests are asked to supply their own paper products. We provide end of the week cleaning service which is included in the rental fees. A broom and vacuum cleaner are provide for any quick cleanup needs during the week. Both wired and wireless Hi-Speed internet is available. The door is locked by a keyless entry lock. A unique PIN code is emailed to you for your stay.
Check in time is 4:00 PM Sat. and check out time is 10:30 AM Sat. We do not accept credit cards, only checks. A reservation fee of half the weekly rate will hold your reservation and the balance is due 30 days before your arrival. A $300 refundable damage deposit is also required with your final payment.

This is a no smoking home and no pets are permitted. We only rent to families and adults over the age of 24. House parties are not allowed. However, entertaining by the renters is acceptable as long as loud, unruly or otherwise objectionable behavior in or out of the house is not exhibited. Sunset Beach regulations do not allow more people staying in the house than there are beds for.

Do you remember your first time? We always will! What a fantastic visit. The house is perfect...the walk to the beach just enough to feel like you are walking away from the world. The sounds of the ocean from the widows walk is still ringing in our ears. Our kids loved it as the house is perfect for families. If you've never been to Sunset Beach, its one of the few beaches that seems unspoiled by commercialization. Oh, and the weather...wow...sunny, with a sea breeze every day... Also of note, you can easily drive to "stuff" if you so desire. Calabash is a bucolic seaside community (highly recommend George's Pancakes and the Calabash Creamery) If you're into the glam of Myrtle, its near by too. You really cannot go wrong with Six on the Beach.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

A taste of paradise. What a wonderful place for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway! This was an awesome experience for all of us...2 parents, 3 grown children with spouses and 2 granddaughters. The house truly felt like home with all the amenities...a stocked kitchen, comfortable sleeping, we loved the outdoor shower, the beach chairs and toys and just a short walk to the beach. We are already looking to book for next year! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation. Friends who look at our pics are asking "where is this place?". It is NC's best kept secret. The cleanest beach I've ever visited. Thanks to the owners for a truly enjoyable vacation!!!!

What a BEATUIFUL home! It was VERY nice and clean. The house had everything in it you could imagine, plus more. What a GREAT place to get away to relax. It was the BEST vacation we have ever had. The only bad thing was is that we had to leave.

Very nice beach house full of welcoming amenities. House is very conveniently located an easy 5 min. walk from the beach. Loft area was great for children's play and adult get-away. Kitchen well supplied. We encourage other families to consider this rental.

We had a great stay at Six on the Beach. Having the essentials there is we needed them was a great touch. We loved the porch, grill, rocking chairs and 3rd level deck to watch the sunset. It is not easy to impress 4 50+ women but this home did. Jackie, Susan, Lee Ann and Pat enjoyed every minute and will be back.

What a wonderful house! We just spent a fabulous "girls weekend" at the house. Very spacious, the kitchen is better stocked than my home kitchen ! We enjoyed the house very much - especially the screened porch and the widow's walk. Can't wait to return !
