Dear Thomas, I just wanted to thank you SO much for such a lovely stay at your property! My husband, myself and our 3 year old daughter enjoyed ourselves and relaxed like I couldn't have imagined! It was such a delight to be in such beautiful surroundings - inside and out! We swam in the ocean in the mornings and relaxed by the pools in the afternoons. The sound of the Coqui's at night was amazing. Isabela, our 3 yr. old loved lying on the lounge chair outside at night and looking up at the stars. It was by far, one of our best vacations to date. Thank you again for making this dream come true. Relaxing Vacations

This place exceeded my expectations. It was a perfect vacation for my parents, husband, daughter and I. The place is a beautiful spacious condo with all the comforts of home important when you have a 7 month baby. We rented a golf car for the week it’s the best way to move around palmas since it’s so big. It was a wonderful experience staying at your villa in Marbella. We look forward to staying there again.

Wonderful Experience...

I just wanted to take the time to let you know what a wonderful experience it was staying at your villa in Marbella 7/16-7/24. We had a full week of rain and yet we still were able to enjoy Puerto Rico because of where we stayed. You and your wife have thought of everything, and we felt completely at home. The accommodations are first class, from the villa décor to the Marbella grounds. My family was staying in Palmas as well and when they saw our rental they were blown away. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place. We are happy to recommend it to anyone we might know who is travelling to Puerto Rico . We look forward to staying there again and hopefully the sun will shine on our next visit.

Marbella Club Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at the condo we rented and we loved the Jacuzzi. Although we had some rain we also had afternoons of beautiful sunshine. We had a spacious condo with all the comforts of home. We found good places to eat without having to leave the complex. We had a bad experience at the cafe at the tennis club but otherwise the restuarants were very good. We would highly recomend this condo if you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy yourself. Jim and Shirley

A week in paradise

The apartment in Marbella was just as nice & comfortable as described in the HomeAway posting. It is located in an up-scale section of Las Palmas. Amazing tropical landscaping with a quiet ocean-front setting. The beach was among the best I have visited with excellent dive charters available at the nearby marina. The location of Marbella/Las Palmas is convenient to Humacao for shopping & restaurants but is far removed from the "rat-race" of San Juan which further contributed to a relaxing vacation.

Awesome vacation in Palmas del Mar

My wife and I just spent five days at this beautiful apartment. It's really nicely furnished and very quiet. We appreciated being on the ground floor, and only steps away from the beach. The pools and jacuzzi at the Marbella Club are first rate and they provide loungers for the beach. Around the marina area we found a couple of very good waterfront restaurants and also at the beach club right next to Marbella Club. Because Palmas is so big, there's lots to do and we recommend this rental to anyone who wants a fun, hassel free vacation.

Humacau for old people

The apartment was fine for the money - no complaints, except that the Pool Jacuzzi heater was broken the entire 10 days that we were there. We would have loved to sit in it every night - bummer! The problem is more with Las Palmas - Our opnion of this area is that it is for old people who do not get up before 11:00AM and who go to bed at 8:00PM. There is no place to get breakfast, except on weekends, and everything closes down at 8:00PM. There is no nightlife whatsoever! Also the food at most restaurants was sub-par and the prices were too high. My wife and I spent on the average $50 for lunch and $100 or more for dinner - we had only one really good meal (at Chez Daniel) the entire 10 days. I think it is better to stay near San Juan or the west coast.

Owner response:I am sorry that this renter did not enjoy Palmas del Mar. It is a large resort complex which has some 2500 full time residents and hundreds of vacationers with a variety of things to do. While it doesn't have a flashy night life, it has more than its share of natural beauty, and tranquility, easily enjoyed from miles of walks and beaches. Honestly, most people find it a truly lovely spot. While there is only one restaurant within Palmas that one could call truly "gourmet" there are plenty of others both in Palmas and the surrounding area which visiters tell us they enjoy. Finally, regarding his complaint about not finding a place for breakfast, I can't imagine a nicer place to have breakfast than sitting on the terrace of our apartment looking out over the Caribbean Sea, watching the pelicans and listening to the waves curl on the beach.

My third vist to Palma Del Mar and by far the best. I can't imagine a better rental anywhere, certainly not in southeastern Puerto Rico. Everything was absolutely perfect including the weather. A note to future visitors, have dinner at S Restaurant in Humacao. The food is the best on the island, the price is amasingly inexpensive, and the chef, Chef Chango, will, I believe, become a major player in the world of culinary arts. (tel. 787-502-3458)
