This brand new log cabin is the perfect place to spend one night or a week with your family and friends, enjoying the unparalleled beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Fairy Stone Park area. It's the perfect home base from which to explore the myriad recreational opportunities and area attractions that are within just a short drive.
For three couples or a family of six it's the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the area. The Cabin has a spacious kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with full-size appliances, microwave oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, cookware, dishes, and silverware. Everything you'll need to prepare anything from a simple frozen pizza to an elegant full dinner.
The cabin provides two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed in the master bedroom and two twin beds in the loft bedroom on the second floor. If you really have a big group, there's LOTS of space for additional cots or air-beds in the living room and walk out full basement. There is a large living room area with stylish, comfortable furniture and gas log fire place. The highlight of the cabin is the gas fireplace and the 18-foot cathedral ceilings. Outside is a full-building length covered porch on the front and covered decks on the back.
You’ll find just about everything you need within a short distance of the Reserve. Fairy Stone Park has 4868 acres and is just a quarter mile away with swimming, fishing, biking, hiking and picnicking. Three miles down the road you can hunt for your very own fairy stones. In Stuart there are gift shops to explore and restaurants offering some of the area's finest dining. Other shops will treat you to the best homemade pizzas and subs you've ever had, ice cream cones and sundaes, specialty coffees and pastries. A short hop in the car will take you to golf courses and driving ranges, and go-carts and mini-golf for the kids. For race fans Martinsville Speedway race track is just 20 miles away, in the other direction is the Blue Ridge Parkway.In the summer there are music festivals (Bluegrass and Jazz)every weekend through September.
A short drive from your cabin you can golf at Gordon Trent Golf Course, hike on the Rock Castle Gorge Hiking Trails and canoe at Kibler Valley check out the music (Friday's) at Mabry Mill.

This is the second time we've stayed at the cabin. We went to the Bluegrass "Street Party" in Floyd on Friday night. It looked like rain but they still had four or five groups playing around town.We brought the canoe and paddled Phillpott Lake on Saturday. It was too cold for water ski'ers, did see people fishing. We did some Geo-chaching in Ferrum, spent most of the time lost, but we found three caches anyway. It rained two nights but cleared up by 9AM both days. We had a good time, we may do it again later in the year.
