  This was the 7th year we have had our family reunion/vacation in Emerald Isle and this was the best house yet. It was comfortable, we loved the pool, and the beach was just a block away. The grandparents appreciated the elevator. The weather was great, the Olympics were on and we all had a wonderful and relaxing stay. We hope to return next year and the kids are asking for 2 weeks. The owners are wonderful and made the whole rental experience easy.

  Our experience with the Claddagh House was excellent. The listing and descriptions of the property on the website were accurate and our expectations were completely met. The property was very well maintained and the ammenities were wonderful. Our entire family (which consisted of 4 separate families) felt very comfortable and at ease in the house. The pool was great for the kids and the walk to the beach was minimal. Working with the owner both before the rental and afterwards was great. They responded to emails quickly and completely and even called me personally to make sure I had all the information I needed. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to vacation at Emerald Isle.

  Home was perfect for our family! Beautifully decorated, clean and well maintained. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Description online was perfect and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Clean linens were on beds and towels galore. Thank you to the property manager who was very friendly and helpful. Elevator made moving in and out more leisurely.

  This house has become our home away from home almost. We have no vacationed there 5 years in a row and I am hoping for many more. I LOVE THE POOL. Worth the price to me....also clean, neat and well kept house. The kitchen area is great and we all (3 families) a wonderfully relaxing week. The countdown has begun already for 2013.

  We have stayed at the Claddagh House for 4 years in a row!! (This year, 2012, will make 5!!!) The listing is accurate, but the pictures do not the house justice!! It just feels like home - only better!! The house is big enough to hold 3 families very comfortably (total of ten people)! We have never had any problems with the house and the owners are WONDERFUL!! The kitchen is well stocked with just about anything you can think of - and believe me, we have cooked just about everything in that kitchen! (From omelets to chocolate chip cookies to hamburgers to crab legs!) We love to sit and relax in the rocking chairs on the deck while drinking sweet tea and looking for dolphins through the binoculars. There is plenty to do in the area if you want to, but the house and pool are so nice that we usually just stay there and soak up the sun. At the end of the day, we usually all settle down in front of the big TV on the 3rd floor and watch a movie. You have to try the Sanitary Fish Market in Morehead City! We've tried plenty of different things over the years and it is all good! We also like to visit the shops and Maritime Museum in Beaufort. The North Carolina Aquarium, located on the island, is also very nice!

  After "bouncing"from house to house on vacation found a keeper. The owners are easy to deal with. Their contact person for any maint. issues is great also(we stayed the week after a hurricane passed). Stay at this house anytime other than our week.

  We were quite pleased with our visit to Claddagh House from the beginning -the owners answered all of our questions completely and in a very timely manner. We found the house to be exceptionally clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. Our young children especially loved the outside decks and the pool. The adults appreciated how securely the pool was gated. The house is located closer to the Swansboro end of the island, an easy walk to the beach, good access to quiet roads for our walkers/joggers and a short drive to restaurants and other activities. We loved the aquarium (check out pirate day!) and Ft. Macon, Flippers on the island is a good family restaurant, Sanitary Seafood in Morehead City is also great for families, and, surprisingly, Portofinos on the way to Swansboro, is a little more upscale but has wonderful Italian food and is very accommodating to young children. Our only suggestion is to update the pots, pans (not flat on the bottom so difficult to use) and knives which are quite dull. All in all, a very enjoyable beach house for all ages!

  Thank you for welcome basket full of goodies and postcard. How very thoughtful! You home in Emerald Isle is beautiful and we had a wonderful time! It was hard to go back to work last week. The weather was beautiful during our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed the beach and pool. The location and layout of your home was perfect for us. The girls enjoyed running every morning on Ocean Dr. and collecting sea shells on the beach. It was a pleasure meeting Clif, what a great guy and so helpful. Thanks for providing the perfect place for our family vacation.

  Great house with a great layout. Nicely decorated with items that I would not expect to see in a beach rental. Convienient to the beach and not much traffic on the roads in the area of the house and beach. Owners were excellent to work with. Everyone fit comfortably and had a great time.
