This house, which the locals call the Chateau de Beaulieu, was constructed in the late fifteenth century as a Hunting Lodge for the Count de Roure. The house has five bedrooms (sleeps eight or ten), two and a half baths, 2 galleries .
One Drives through an arch into a large courtyard. The house fronts south. The layout is classically Palladian: hallway (18 square meters) with rooms on either side. The well-equipped kitchen has direct access to a wisteria covered terrace on the south and a morning terrace to the east which is shaded in the afternoon. The swimming pool,to the east of the house, has views of both sunrise and sunset and the village in the distance.
There is a large bedroom suite (330 square feet) with water closet, to the north of the kitchen. Off the hall, opposite the kitchen, is a large bedroom (450 square feet with king-size bed) with a sitting area. The grand staircase (five foot wide stone blocks) leads upstairs; there is also a back staircase from the kitchen.
Upstairs there is a long gallery (hall) with rooms off either side. A sitting room with TV, two large bedrooms (double beds), and a smaller bedroom with twin beds. One bath overlooks the pool and the other has a small balcony with a separate entrance.
