Our 3-bedroom, 2nd floor Villa has gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean, and can sleep up to eight people. Kolea 1B is ideal for families or individuals who enjoy gracious yet affordable vacation living. The moment you step over the front door threshold onto the stone tile floor, you'll feel right at home, and ready to enjoy your tropical paradise dream vacation.
Our villa has 2,100 square feet of interior space and a 400-square foot lanai, all decorated in the spirit of Hawaii. There is also a touch of the Golden State, as both the master and second bedrooms have California King-sized beds. The third bedroom has two twins (that can be locked together). A sleeper sofa in the living room accommodates two more guests, for a total of eight. Not only does our villa have dual-zone air-conditioning, but it also has ceiling fans in all bedrooms and the living room.
The entrance, living room, dining area, kitchen, hallways, and lanai all have beautiful stone tile floors; the three bedrooms are carpeted.
The gourmet kitchen includes granite counter-tops, African mahogany cabinetry, a Viking range, Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer, and a built-in wine refrigerator. The master bath has a separate oversized shower, natural stone finishes and a luxurious oversized soaking tub. The second bathroom has a stand alone shower and bathtub, and the third bathroom has a shower.
The lanai features Koa Wood cabinetry, outdoor living/dining area with wet bar, mini-refrigerator, ice-maker, and a gourmet Viking gas grill with a rotisserie. The 9' x 18' retractable pocket doors bring together the lanai and living areas in a natural flow. The sunsets from the lanai are breathtaking.
We have high speed wireless internet access. Cable TV is available in the living room, master bedroom, and second bedroom. The living room HD TV also has a VCR/DVD/CD player.
It is a short walk to the pool-clubhouse (2-3 minutes)and another minute or so to the beach on Anaeho'omalu Bay (called “A-Bay” by the locals because that’s easier to say.) The bay hosts numerous water activities—you can enjoy a sunset cruise, snorkel,dive, kayak,ride hydrobikes, play in the ocean or just relax on the beach and work on your golden tan. A-Bay has a lot of marine life in its warm waters.
The Beach Club Pavilion features full kitchen,hot tub, infinity edge pool, and a children's pool with a sand bottom and waterfall. A fully equipped open air exercise room overlooks the pool and the ocean.
Kolea is located between the Marriott and Hilton in Waikoloa on the Big Island of Hawaii. Kolea 1B is luxurious yet affordable. Indeed, Kolea 1B No Ka Oi (it's the best).

We stayed at Kolea 1B for 1 week this February, 2008. Kolea 1B was, indeed, a piece of paradise on the Big Island. My husband, sons and daughter-in-laws had a wonderful stay in your condo. It was so beautiful, comfortable and well-situated. I think we missed events at the near-by Kings Shops because we just didn't want to leave the lanai after dinner. We'll be sorting through pictures for months to come. The family was also able to take advantage of the discounts for Merriman's and Ocean Sports activities. The kids are still marvelling at their experience swimming with the seas turtles who didn't seem disturbed at all to have visitors in their bay. I'll close by saying "Mahalo" for your hospitality. Kolea 1B made our family vacation on the Big Island a very special one. We are already brain-storming about arranging the next trip.

What an amazing Villa! We had an absolutely wonderful time in your beautifully decorated and appointed villa while on the Big Island! The amenities were fantastic, the view of A-Bay was incredible and there was room galore!! My family loved our vacation in Hawaii and your villa made it all that much more special!
