This 'family-sized', 3-bedroom, late 19th century apartment makes an ideal setting for a family or a small group of friends who want to vacation in the very heart of Paris without sacrificing space or comfort.

Newly renovated, this 1,280 square foot apartment has a truly Parisian feel thanks to its high ceilings, extensive wainscoting, oak wood floors and several fireplaces. The owners have included some family heirlooms as part of the furnishings, which add to the apartment's charm.

The apartment is sunny, and south-facing. Across the front of the apartment, the living room, dining room and master bedroom all look out onto the street, each room with its own set of double French doors opening onto a balcony. The two back bedrooms give onto a quiet, bright courtyard. There is also a large kitchen, two bathrooms, and a separate WC.

The kitchen, located just off the entry hallway, is all new and fully-equipped with a dishwasher, micro-wave oven and combination washer/dryer, plus refrigerator and freezer.

The 200 sq. ft. master bathroom has its own en suite bathroom with shower and toilet; it is small, but very comfortable and has been designed in a contemporary style. The larger bathroom at the other end of the apartment off the entry hallway has a shower and was renovated in a ‘retro’ style with warm earth-colored tiles and old-fashioned style faucets.

A second 'WC' is located next to this bathroom in its own separate room, typical of old French apartments. The living room, adjacent,can also sleep one or two extra guests thanks to a high-quality sofabed which converts to a double.

The dining-room has a round oak table which can be extended to seat 8 guests. This room gives onto the very spacious living room. The marble fireplace in the living room has a large bronze mirror over it, dating from the 18th century. The master bedroom follows, with its ample double bed, a second TV, antique wardrobe and en-suite bathroom. All three of these rooms have antique crystal or bronze chandeliers, creating a cozy, old-world feeling.

At about 120 sq ft. each, the two courtyard bedrooms are spacious enough to accommodate two guests each. The first courtyard bedroom has two twins and the second has a queen-sized bed.

Ideally located in the Latin Quarter on the rue des Ecoles, the apartment is just a five minute walk down to the Seine river and Notre Dame Cathedral or across the boulevard St. Michel to fashionable St. Germain des Près. Heading up the rue Montagne St. Genviève, it is just a few blocks to the Panthéon, and a ten-minute walk to the Luxembourg gardens.

The Maubert-Mutualité metro stop is a two-minute walk. There are food shops, bakeries, and a large open-air weekly market on the Boulevard St. Germain nearby. This classic “family-sized” apartment is ideal for a family or small group of friends wishing to have the comforts of home while living “la vie Parisienne” in the very historical center of Paris.

  • My mom, my kids and I spent 10 fabulous days in Paris at this apartment. Stacey was a treat, she met us at the apartment and pointed out all the great spots in the neighborhood. The location was perfect, with the market around the corner and delicious restaurants right up the street. There was room for all of us, the kitchen was new, the beds were comfy. And of course, the balconies - they were the best part. We had the TV, but most nights we just watched the world go by from our balcony perch. We would definitely stay here again.

  • My family (two adults and two children)recently stayed in this apartment with my parents and sister's family (with an infant) and were EXTREMELY happy. The rooms were spacious and clean, and we only found the street noise to be bad on Friday and Saturday nights. It was in a fantastic location, with ameneties (dishwasher, washer/dryer) that made it extremely convenient. As was mentioned by others, the only drawback was the two flights of stairs; but during the last three days of our visit an elevator was being installed (I'm sure it is done by now). The place is surrounded by great restaurants and a fantastic street (food) market is just around the corner three days a week. We would definately stay again!!

  • The apartment was ideal for our family of 5 and a guest. Excellent location- easy metro access and a short walk to markets, parks, restaurants, shopping and the allure of the latin quarter. The Pantheon is just up the hill. Only drawback was the apartment is up two flights of stairs without an elevator (quite a workout with luggage). Stacey was extremely helpful. She greeted us on our arrival and ensured everything was in order. She is knowledgeable and provided us with some great dining and market info.

  • We stayed at this apartment for 6 nights in March/April 07. My parents, husband, myself, 14 year old twins, and one 9 year old. The apartment was perfect for us. Just like the pictures and more, all the comforts of home. Everyones beds were cozy, the neighborhood very safe, easy metro access, and everything you need provided in the apartment. Stacey was so nice, helpful before we arrived and after we arrived. Location was great. When we return to Paris we will rent this apartment again.
