The Bobcat 1 is a two-story, 2000 sq ft four bedroom, three bath home nestled high in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Northern New Mexico. It has two covered decks for viewing the beautiful sunsets which give the mountains their name. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with great views and lots of privacy.
Situated next to a small organic farm with a greenhouse specializing in mixed greens, spinach and most root crops, there are fresh veggies to eat during the warmer months.
Full kitchen stocked for 12, including all normal electronics (coffee maker, toaster, blender, crock pot, pots and pans and dishes for 12), refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, gas oven and stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer, and linens for 12.
One of the bedrooms has a queen, the downstairs bedroom has a king memory foam, and the other two are equipped with full and twin bunks. The master bath has a jacuzzi tub and a toilet room.
There is great sledding, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing in the winter and access to the surrounding state forest is a short hike or bike through the woods. In the summer, there are single track mountain biking trails in the forest and some of the best highways in the area for bicycle touring.

Why the Owner Chose Angel Fire
We decided to build a vcation rental in the Moreno Valley because of its beauty and serenity.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our property is only 10 minutes from Angel Fire Resort which provides a PGA-approved Golf Course, Monte Verde Lake for boating and fishing, a great ski hill for all levels, and the oldest and biggest terrain park in New Mexico. There also is some of the best downhilll mountain biking in the Southwest during the Summer at the resort. Eagle Nest Lake and Coyote Creek State Parks are only 20 minutes from the house. Eagle Nest Lake boasts one of the highest elevation schools of freshwater salmon and 100's of acres of lake surface for boating and fishing. Unit 48, for hunting big game elk and mule deer, is over 50,000 ac and right out the back door. Carson National Forest is just across the highway and includes most of the Sangre de Cristos Mountains of Northern New Mexico. It includes Wheeler Peak, the highest point in New Mexico at 13,161 ft, and the Wheeler Peak Wilderness; great areas for backcountry hiking, biking, ATVing, and camping.

Owner's Map of Angel Fire
We moved to Angel Fire June 1996 soon after our first son was born. We came from Denton, TX to buy some land and build a home to simplify our lifestyle. It turns out we built two homes and started a property management company. We bought another lot and started growing produce for ourselves and neighbors. We have focused on mixed greens, spinach, gourmet potatoes and other root crops. We hope to start producing on a larger scale for market as we work to complete a greenhouse and build more growing beds. We love to share this beautiful valley with guests and hope you will comme visit us soon.
