Thank you for inquiring about the Brock Haus Cabin. Located in the scenic six mile wide Upper Arkansas Valley, the cabin has gorgeous valley and mountain views including Buffalo Peaks to the east and the 14,000 foot Collegiate Range to the west. Situated about three miles from town, you can enjoy these unobstructed views and not feel isolated. If you wish, you can fish for trout in Cottonwood Creek that flows through your ten acre property, the private catch & release pond located on the property or in one of the many nearby lakes and then grill the fish in your own picnic area along the creek.
The two-bedroom cabin (one with a double bed and the other with two twin beds) has a split log exterior and the interior has all of the modern comforts of home including a fireplace. For larger groups, the adjacent Sunflower Room (efficiency) has a double size bed, wood burning fireplace, full sized refridgerator, microwave oven and private bathroom.
The cabin's entertainment center has a TV, a satellite, VCR and a CD/cassette player. The kitchen has a microwave oven, automatic dishwasher, full sized refrigerator, stove and oven and just about every kitchen gadget you could want. There is an ample supply of linens, a washer & dryer and free local phone service.
Stay at one of our four adjacent accommodations located on Cottonwood Creek; Brock Haus Log Home, Brock Haus Pinewood Home, Brock Haus Cabin or the Sunflower Room. Summer (May 15 - Sept 30) .. $210/night (3 night minimum) .. $1295/week.

Winter Holidays: .. $160/night (3 night minimum) .. $995/week.
A discounted rate of $90/night is given for the adjacent one bedroom
kitchenette, the Brock Haus Sunflower Room.
Payments can be made by check or credit card.
A non-refundable 4.5% service fee is added to all credit card purchases.
A 7% Colorado sales tax and $70 cleaning fee is added to all rentals.

The Brockhaus family and Brock Haus Rentals have been helping individuals like you create spectacular vacation memories in the Colorado Rockies since 1992 and at the Cabin since 1993. We pride ourselves in providing unique accommodations and excellent customer service.
The Brock Haus Cabin, located three miles outside of Buena Vista, Colorado, was bought and completely renovated by Bob and Joyce Brockhaus in 1993 and renovated again in 2004. Since 1993, it has been a vacation rental home that has served as a mountain retreat from hot and sticky summers and a headquarters for many winter ski trips.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Since 1993, Bob & Joyce and their son (Rob) have opened up their cabin home to friends, family and many guests who share their love for beautiful mountain views, great fishing and relaxation that can only be found in the mountains. When you arrive at the Cabin and hear the gentle roar of Cottonwood Creek, see the trout jumping in the private fishing pond and stand in awe of the 14,000+ foot mountains that surround you, you can not help but feel the worries of the day-to-day life melt away.
One of our favorite “rituals” is to have breakfast/coffee out on the deck overlooking the creek in the morning to talk about what everyone wants to do that day. After a fun filled day of activity (fishing, shopping, rafting, skiing, reading, etc) or non-activity (naps and/or sunbathing on the deck) we reconvene for wine and cheese on the deck to discuss who is cooking dinner or what great local restaurant we are heading off to. Yep…that is our basic routine. You should try it…it is an easy lifestyle to get used to.
