This year-round beach home is FULLY EQUIPPED (and we mean FULLY - be sure to read our complete brochure by following the link below). All beds are made up and the towels are in the bathrooms. The house was built by a family who has been going to this beach for over 30 years, and has absolutely every convenience you could ask for. All you have to do is walk in, unpack your suitcase, go to the grocery store, and you are ready to REST!
The interior is elegantly decorated with hardwood floors throughout. The beautiful screened front porch has ceiling fans, 6 rockers, and a Pawleys Island Rope Hammock. Back deck has chairs for sunbathing and a big BBQ. Main dining table seats 14 and second table seats 8, plus 4 kitchen counter stools.
A perfect home for a family group, with separate bathrooms for each bedroom, plus two fabulous under-house showers with dressing areas for after the beach (two blocks away). Walls are insulated between rooms for privacy, and bedrooms are large enough that you can "hang out" in your own room (each has its own TV!) or join the group. There is second upstairs Living Room with TV and DVD, so the kids can watch movies while the adults hang out downstairs.

We just returned from a long weekend at this home, and it was better than I could have ever imagined. We hosted a rehearsal dinner for my brother's wedding, and it was perfect! Beyond being spacious enough for the dinner, the house offered anything and everything you might think you need. The pictures do not do it justice. I can not say enough good things, and I hope that we are fortunate enough to find ourselves in Litchfield again, if only to stay in this house.

We have just returned from a week at this wonderful house. It was excellently located for our Golf trip. The house itself was equipped with everything one could imagine, there was nothing you needed to bring or add. The house is superb and would recommend this staying here to anyone without hesitation. The owners have truly thought of everything!! In my 30 years of visiting the Myrtle Beach area, this home by far is the most organized. You feel right at home when you walk in the door. Our group consisted of teenagers, toodlers and adults and all of us can't want to come back. I want to thank the owners for allowing us to rent their beautiful home. We had a great time and made many wonderful memories!!

My mother's family (17 people) wanted to get away for a couple of days of quiet family time. The "Resting Place" is the perfect place for families of all ages. We had two 2 year olds and didn't have to take anything for them. The house has toys, wagons, booster seats for the dinner table and even cribs/linen. My aunts and uncle (age 55-70) each had their own bedroom and bathroom which was great. The kitchen is large enough for 2-3 people to prepare meals and we took full advantage of that for preparing breakfast and dinner. A dining room table large enough for 14 people comfortably. 2 family rooms a plus. Quiet neighborhood. Short walk to the beach. The house is well maintained and stocked. If you need it, Mrs. Fuener has thought of it. Looking forward to booking again in the future. The family would like to return for a week when the weather gets warmer. This is what the Lord says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?” Isaiah 66:1

We stayed at The Resting Place for a wedding the second weekend of September. The house is very large, extremely clean and had ALL the amenities anyone could ask for. We were very impressed with the fact that we felt so much at home and had everything we needed for our stay, including towels for the beach and even wagons to pull our belongings to the beach and chairs for the beach. The rooms are all very large with private bathrooms and would be a perfect home rental for any family or friends. The beach is a 2 minute walk and there is a very nice deck on the back of the house that is also great for a cookout and to hang out with friends and family. I just cant say enough about how impressed we are with the home and all the love we can tell this family shares. Thank you all so much.

We stayed at Resting Place in September 2009 and it was perfect. The house is spacious, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. (Especially the hammock!) It is easily large enough to handle 3 small families with everyone being able to maintain their privacy and to have plenty of room to spread out when they all get together in the living & dining areas. The kitchen pantry was fully stocked with all the staples - the owners have truly thought of everything. The beach is an easy walk away, and September was perfect beach weather. Great dining is just a short drive away at Murrells Inlet when you don't feel like cooking. We really enjoyed ourselves and will certainly be back.
