First, Derek was great in all communications before we arrived. Once we arrived, it was a weekend of pure relaxation. The backyard is absolutely wonderful! The pool didn't need heating due to the weather, the spa worked perfectly, and the grassy yard was wonderful for our two dogs to play in. The misters made the temperature feel a lot lower. Saturday afternoon it got extremely windy and one of the umbrellas broke off. Derek was great about it and very understanding. There is a very informative binder in the kitchen describing how things work. I did have to call Derek to ask where one key was located for the spa. The inside of the house was very clean. We have stayed at two other rentals in the area and we both agreed that we would come back to this one. The yard did it for us. We didn't spend much time inside the entire weekend. Also, the yard is very private and gated. I would highly recommend this rental for anyone.

We loved your home and the way it was furnished, it had everything. I especially loved the mornings on the back patio by the pool with all the birds singing, wearing the very nice robes you furnished, enjoying my coffee in your Starbucks coffee cups. The pool was amazing, the beds were comfortable, loved the pillows, and the the Nat King Cole CD was a nice touch to. We would definately stay again and would recommend it to our friends. Thanks for everything. Michael & Dawn Borns

Very enjoyable time had by all the family. Well furnished/stocked, and clean. Derek (the owner) was extremely helpful, answering/solving all our queries very quickly. In fact Derek's personal service has extended beyond our stay as he has returned a pair of prescription glasses we left behind! The photographs were a true reflection of the high standard of property you can expect. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and in time would love to come back to the Cathedral City area.

My wife and I rented this wonderful place for over a month this past year. This visit was our second visit and I know we will be back again next year. The house was all shiney and clean when we arrived. Although there are so many choices of things to do in the valley, the privacy and peacefulness of the back yard with the pool and jacuzzi constantly draws you to just plunk yourself down and enjoy the day without venturing out at all. Of course we took in the fabulous restaurants, enjoyed some golf and toured the valley. Many days were spent at home swimming and tanning and eventually barbequing dinner. The interior of the house is very comfortable and lots of room. We had visitors for several weeks and were never in each others way. The evenings spent playing cards or watching tv on the big screen were enjoyed by all. Many evenings were passed sitting outside and listeniing to the coyotes in the mountains or enjoying the lit pool and surrounding gardens. The location is a very big plus as it is handy to Palm Springs, a short drive to the Saturday morning College of the Desert market and all food stores and shopping are reached in minutes. There are many restaurants with a 15 minute drive and the menus are diversified and mostly reasonable. Derek and partners are thorough in making sure you will be comfortable. The service staff for the yard and pool were friendly, professional, polite and completed their tasks efficiently and were gone. We recommend "our second home" to families, seniors and all those avid golfers. It simply is a type of place that accommodates everyone. Everything that you will need is there to enjoy. If you arrive stressed, you will definitely be leaving relaxed, rejuvenated and feeling very satisfied. All said and done we just gotta get back to that second home of ours. Can't wait for the new year to arrive and we hit the road.

Our family of 6 including four kids (age 4-15) spent Christmas week at this home. It was a delight to have Christmas brunch outside by the pool enjoying the hummingbirds, roses, beautiful lawns and the mountains and the POOL... The yard is perfect and the views are a treat. The pool and yard are well maintained so FUN! My kids loved the pool, the pool toys and to soak up the sun. This house was fantastic for our family. Everything is clean and well stocked. There are three tvs; which served my kids well. Lots of space, games, books... We had family and friends visit us and there is room for many to eat and swim and visit. The home was decorated for Christmas which thrilled my children. The location in Cathedral City is minutes from everything from movie theaters, to great food, to shopping. Derek and his team are professionals who know how to serve and make you happy. We look forward to returning for a month stay next time...

This lovely home is in a quiet neighbourhood, a short drive from all amenities. The listing accurately portrays the many features of the house and garden, but the reality is even better. The house is spacious, clean and comfortable and the owner's Welcome Book provides all the information needed to enjoy the pool and spa. Roses, desert flora, whimsical yard art and mature citrus trees make the back yard a pleasure in which to relax. There were only 2 of us vacationing, but the house and yard comfortably accommodates a family of 6-8. We definitely recommend this home to anyone who wants a quiet, relaxing and comfortable vacation. We plan to return.

The house & property are superb. The house is very clean with all the amenities you can think of & then some. The yard & pool are as pictured, sparklingly maintained. The neighbourhood is quiet & pleasant. There are many great restaurants nearby (a nice Mexican one at the end of the street in the small mall...La Tablita on Hwy 111). Also The River Mall in Rancho Mirage has many restaurants e.g. The Cheese Factory, Chang's, etc. In all my dealings with the owners, I could not have asked for better service....returning my emails in a timely manner & fully answering all my questions. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends & family. Plus we intend to visit again within the year.

My family and I spent Labor Day weekend at this very CLEAN property. We were all very happy with our stay. The house has everything you need. The pool was awesome! I loved the saltwater so much better than chlorine! I really enjoyed spending a very relaxing time for my b-day weekend here I will stay here again if we decide to come out to the Palm Springs area. Everything was close by! Derek is a pleasure to deal with he is very prompt on returning phone calls and emails. We were so thankful to walk into an A/C house! That was perfect with the heat at 115 it felt so good to walk in and the A/C was on for us!

My wife and I spent 4 glorious weeks here beginning in late March of 2010. The house is a mid-century charmer that is very well equipped both inside and out and could only be improved by a new TV in the den. Games, lots of tapes and books and a lot of tourist info and maps are a nice touch. We were pleased to find that a new king sized bed is in the master bedroom. If you like to entertain outdoors, there are 3 good sized tables and 16 or more chairs located around the pool area. In most places we have rented before, the pool has taken up most of the back yard. Not so here. A large, lush green lawn surrounded by about a dozen rose bushes, bougainvillea and assorted other flowering plants, palms, orange trees and cacti compliment the pool and draw you outside like a magnet. Looking up at the mountains as you lay by the pool is special. In fact, our sightseing plans were greatly reduced as it was very difficult to drag ourselves away from this little Garden of Eden. Gardeners and pool boys come twice a week to ensure every thing remains pristine. Owner Derek was a delight to deal with. When we first arrived, the poolside umbrellas had cracks in the wooden poles, which concerned us a bit. We called Derek to advise him of our concerns and the next day 2 brand new umbrella sets were delivered to the house. Now that's service! Location is very central to everything and in a very quiet neighbourhood. Our favourite restaurants were Aqua Pazza at the River Shopping Centre (HUGE desserts), Olive Garden (Servings are very large. You may want to order from the luch menu even if you are there for dinner) & Lord Fletchers where the prime rib is enormous and reasonably priced. Applebees is good for families, Thai Taste on Hwy 111 has no atmosphere but good and cheap food. Roscoe's on Hwy 111 is the same, with mostly gay customers. As you have guessed by now, we highly recommend this house and will be staying there when we next return to Palm Springs.
Owner response:Duncan and Suzanne, thank you for taking such good care of our home! The new television in the den awaits your next visit!

Our family found this house to be very comfortable, well maintained with a fully equipped kitchen and well stocked linen closet. The backyard and pool area is heaven. We had small children with us and found the pool had a great shallow area for then to play in safely. There were pool toys and floatation devices for everyone. The home is very private and situated so you get the morning sun in the backyard. Great for having your morning coffee pool side. The owners were very easy to deal with and any concerns we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently. They have free long distance service which we found great as we were able to keep in touch with family at home anytime. The only bad part was leaving 40 degrees to come home to -2 and a snow shovel.

My friends and I have been going to the professional tennis tournament in Indian Wells for the past 12 years. We have stayed at hotels, motels, and at least 6 different resort condo locations. But we were never truly satisfied. Then in 2008 we decided to try this house; and we finally found gold. The house is in a quiet and safe neighborhood and has everything you could possibly need stocked up inside. It is well maintained, and best of all has a private pool and spa in the backyard. (No more sharing with other condo residents) There are shopping and restaurant areas all around so you can easily drive to get anything you may need. Our group loved it so much that as soon as we left in 2008 I reserved it again for 2009. And as soon as we left this year in 2009 I reserved it for 2010. The owners respond to your calls immediately and take care of any problems. And in two years the only problems we had were a wind storm in 2008 that got the pool dirty. (The owners had a guy out at the house within 60 minutes cleaning the pool) Then this year the wireless internet went out. The owners called me back promptly to try and fix the problem. We later found out that everyone in the area lost their phones and internet due to construction crews cutting the line, so the problem was not house related. I highly recommend this rental to anyone interested in a wonderful house in a quiet area that wants to have peace and quiet and their own pool and spa. It's truly a great place to stay.

What a great home. My golf friends and I spent a week in PS this Feb and enjoyed the accomodation, pool and hot tub. The amenities are complete with a peaceful location that is close to everything we wanted to see and do. BBQ'ing by the pool and hot tub at night made for very relaxing evenings. Groceries and top restaurants close by. We cant wait for our next trip south...if you are looking for a comfortable laid back stay in the desert, this palce is it. GCinBC

"My family and I spent 7 wonderful days in the month of July 2008 in this house and all I can say is that we had the best time ever. The house is well equipped with everything a vacationer may need. The house keeper was only a phone call away and was very helpful and friendly when ever we called. This has been one of my favorite getaways since the property is located within minutes of everything you need from entertainment, hiking, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for peace of mind while on vacation.

"Derek's home is a wonderful place to stay. The house is very comfortable and has everything needed from kitchen equipment to bedding and towels, to bathtowels for the pool and hot tub, to laundry facilities, to space for your car(s), to TV/VCR/DVD equipment and to outdoor furniture for lounging around the pool or dining outside etc. The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with easy access to the main highway (111) that runs through the many valley communities. Golf courses, shopping, a library, theatres are all close by. There is good walking in the area and into the hills behind. Derek is well organized as he has for his renters a complete book on what is available in the area and instructions as to how to operate the pool, hot tub and doors, whom to contact in the event of an emergency etc., all of which are extremely helpful. If there is a problem Derek resolves it immediately (it is as if he is on call 24 hours a day) and happily as he is so easy to talk to. We would recommend that people stay in his home without hesitation."
