Activities and Attractions
Beach, beach and more beach! The sugar white sands of Pensacola Beach are yours to enjoy. Swimming, sea shelling, and surfing are just across the street. Take long walks into Ft Pickens National Park and enjoy the spectacular sunsets.
Santa Rosa Island is a narrow barrier island, and only about 400 yards wide where the condo is located. The island has one main east/west road. The shops and restaurants of the “core area” are about 1 mile away. At the Boardwalk you will find parasailing, go-karts, jet ski's, crazy-golf, bikes, and funny cars.
The 1471 ft (longest on the Gulf of Mexico) Pensacola Beach Fishing Pier and Observation Post is less than 1 mile away. A deep sea fishing charter boat is based in the marina nearby, and many others are only a mile away. Scuba diving the recently sunken battleship Oriskany is also available.
The US Navy base (home of the Blue Angels), golf, tennis, museums, restaurants, and site-seeing are within 15-30 minutes, and the enormous outlet malls at Foley, AL and Destin, FL are about 60 minutes away.

From the moment we pulled up and parked in the ground level private parking space, we knew we had made a good decision. The condo grounds are small but sufficient...no trapesing all over the place to get here & there. After a short walk to the elevator, we made our way to the 5th floor and began what would be one of our better stays in P'cola. The fresh cool air hit us as we opened the door to the unit. Arriving around 4:00, the sunlight simply flooded the condo through it's wall to floor windows. I couldn't help to notice how immaculate everything was. Even the windows were clean and not frosted over with sea salt. Each bedroom was decorated with a keen eye and the traveler in mind. The furniture in the living room was definitely on the high end which was a nice touch considering some of the cookie cutter furniture some places offer. And if TVs your thing, the flatscreen will be put to good use. The kitchen has been installed with top notch appliances, as well as having all items needed if cooking is your thing. The master bath was great and decorated with such taste. After perusing around the inside of the condo, we stepped out onto the sundrenched balcony and it seemed to just go on and on. This is a south/west facing unit so you get a huge wrap around balcony. You've got the gulf to the south, the sound to the west and the bay to the north....simply spectacular. And last but not least, we were able to take our babies which made our experience all the better. Taking them out was a breeze....just a short ride down the elevator to beautiful green grass (just don't forget to clean up after your pooch). Almost forgot....this unit is within walking distance or a very, very short drive to the pier and all the shops around. You really don't need you car if a 1/2 mile walk isn't too much. It's obvious the owners take great care of their place, so much so, I have certainly put this rental at the top of my list. I joked with my partner that we may not be able to afford a place like this for ourselves yet, but we can pretend this ours when staying again and again. Why look anywhere esle when this felt like home.
