One of the Cabot Trail's most spectacular ocean views is yours at Wreck Cove on the east coast of Cape Breton Island. Comb the beach for surf treasures. Watch the gannets dive while you sit at your breakfast table and enjoy the ocean sunrise, or marvel as the coral afterglow spreads across the water at sunset. There are 100 acres of ocean front and mountain wilderness to explore from our private natural hiking trails, right at your door step, very season of the year. We also invite you to swim in the spring-fed pond and, in season, enjoy the produce and berries from the vegetable and flower gardens.

It was great cozy cottage with good size bedroom. great trails for outdoor lovers good for snow shoeing in the winter and hiking in the summer close to Ingonish and Cape Breton highlands park. with great cross country skiing. nice views of the ocean and the highlands with private trails leading through the hills. .
Owner response:Thanks so much Doug. You have discovered one of the best kept secrets in Eastern Canada...Cape Breton in winter. Many come backs! Jitka and Gilbert

My husband, 2 terriers and myself spent Christmas 2011 at the studio loft. We had a great time. Snow had fallen and the trails were picture perfect. The little touches i.e. the apple pie (awesome) and the table top real xmas tree were truly appreciated, The friendliness of both Jitka and Chance completed the perfect 5 day get away. Can wait to rent the beach house in the summer.

We had a wonderful one week stay in the studio loft at Singing Pebbles. The property has trails through the woods and access to a clean cobble beach for walking. On the loft's deck, all of the senses are stimulated by the view of the ocean - a view of ocean sunrises and distant passing ships, the freshness of the ocean air and sounds of crashing waves and wave tumbled rocks. Located on the Cabot Trail and close to the Ingonish entrance to Cape Breton National Park, there are many opportunities for all manner of outdoor activity. Thank you Jitka.

We spent a wonderful week at Singing Pebbles in July. While the weather was not as good as we might have wanted, Singing Pebbles was beautiful and we enjoyed the company of both the cat and dog! We enjoyed walking the property and strolling along the beach. One evening we saw seals. We saw bald eagles from the house and even more on Bird Island and at Pleasant Cove. We highly recommend Donelda's Puffin Boat Tour; it was one of the highlights of our trip. Also recommend The Chowder House in Neil's Harbour. Great chowder & oatcakes and reasonable prices.

What a wonderful time we had staying at Singing Pebbles and exploring Cape Breton Island. Jitka's warm, genuine hospitality made us feel so at home. We enjoyed the whole property --the beach, the trails, the games room, and the cozy loft apartment that had everything we needed. We would love to return.

We stayed in the cottage loft over studio. We could hear the ocean and smell the beautiful pristine air. Beautiful gardens surround the property along with many walking trails. We had our Westie with us and he enjoyed his walks. This property offers many possibilities for you...If you are looking for relaxation and beauty...this is the place..

I was recently telling a friend about our stay at Singing Pebbles as they will be in the area in September of this year and I recalled what a glorious experience we had staying here for a week in the summer of 2006. We did not want to leave - it felt like home and Jitka and Gilbert and ALL the animals were wonderful. We do hope to return someday.

Our hearts were captured by this lovely North Shore, the beauty of the land and the waters. The amazing music of Celtic Colors VIII-2004, the wild storms of this visit (tropical storm Nicole) the very colorful maples and- most of all- by your warm friendship. Yours is a special hospitality - where else might one's hosts provide fresh apple pie, flowers, and mushroom walks. So we leave, rested and renewed, and looking forward to Celtic Colors 2005!

We had a wonderful stay. We went to the beach, walked the paths, drove the trail, visited Baddeck, were chased by the geese, and had a table-tennis trournament in the games room. The weathere varied from sunny and warm to rainy and cool. We enjoyed the gardens and admired Jitka's pottery, Gilbert's woodcarving skills. We hope to be back soon! Thank you, Bep and the kids
