The opportunity exists to swim with dolphins and turtles, as well as admire Madame Pele's awesome power to create new earth. Experience dense jungle, bare lava, crashing surf, protected tidepools, relaxing hot ponds, steam vents, gentle sea breezes and starlight without street lights.

New two story house with large second story deck and lanai areas. The deck has a 120 degree ocean view. Tile floors, white pine walls, and an ocean view from every room. The studio and lanai areas can be used for sleeping. Walking distance to world famous Kalani spa resort and the beautiful Kehena black sand beach. Nearby activities include: driving or hiking to see flowing lava, steam vents, volcanically heated pools with turtles in them, snorkeling in coral tide pools, surfing, tennis, cycling, fishing, and/or reading pulp fiction and studying cloud formations over the ocean from the deck.

The historic town of Pahoa with its wooden sidewalks, large health food store, supermarket, farmer's market and many delicious restaurants is just thirteen miles away.

  • If you are fortunate you may be able to swim with dolphins, turtles, or whales off nearby Kehena Black Sand Beach. The very large, volcanically heated public hot pond of Ahalanui is just down 137 to the east. Volcanic steam vents are located off nearby Highway 130. Flowing lava can frequently viewed from your car at night at the west end of Highway 130. Hikes to view the flowing lava are possible for the adventurous.
