This condo is perfect. We felt so at home in this unit. We loved the layout and also the stylish and appropriate decor. We slept on the murphy bed in the living room so that we could watch the waves and it was SO comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed and more. As this was our first visit to Maui we didn't realize how advantageous it was to have the private beach. Then we discovered that very few of the condo resorts have their own beach and most people have to drive to a beach everyday. The beach is lovely - plenty sand and also reefs for snorkeling. The turtles were fun to watch and so were the whales. The other guests were friendly and very loyal to Hale Mahina! We had a few days of storms and rain but we found we were perfectly comfortable in the condo reading books - it never felt cramped like a hotel room. We can't wait to come back.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had the priviledge of staying at this condo with our 2 small children (6 months and 2 years old) and absolutely LOVED it. The girls slept in the bedroom and we slept in the pull down bed in the living room, falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. The property was spotless, perfect set-up with a sandy beach/grassy area/pool/hot tub, we really didn't have to leave at all! Tons of turtles right at our beach to snorkel with. Loved the farmer's market and the store there. The condo has a home-away-from-home feel and is quite spacious. The view to die for. We will definitely be staying here again..you can't beat this location!!! Thanks Dennis and Kathy for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!

Thank you so much for allowing us to rent this beautiful place from you for our honeymoon. We have had the best of time here, from watching the turtles every morning to enjoying our dinners over the beautiful sunset. Watching whales splashing in the distance, seeing an occasional turtle and manta ray, it was very relaxing and a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary!

Bonus: we saw 3 whales make their way back north. We also have a couple of sea turtles visiting in the late afternoon we saw lots of Maui and it is truly an amazing place!

Hello Condo Seekers! My husband and I stayed in this condo in the summer of 2007. I cannot tell you how wonderful the condo and owners are and how much of a great time we had while staying here in just a short posting, but will sure try:) The furnishings are beautiful and well maintained. The bedroom is in the actual back (street-facing) side of of condo, but we did not care because we just slept back there and were on the lanai most of time. One thing that is really cool is that there is a murphy bed in the living room area right by the lanai. This was a a cool feature because some nights we would sleep out there and wake up to the sound of the ocean! The owners stocked the kitchen with basic supplies and condiments. This was a huge plus for us because we really like stay in and cook. We did not have to go out and buy spices etc...because they were already provided for us. Huge money saver! The views...wow, I cannot say enough about the views and the sunsets! This was the main reason we chose this condo and not others. The one thing other condo's owners will not tell you is that even though they advertise a sandy beach out front...it may not be there year round or even all day. This condo has a wonderful, private beach right out front,and it never disappeared. We had access to it all day! The snorkeling out front was actually even better than the snorkeling tour we took with a tour group and paid for. While we were staying in this condo, we snorkeled in front of the condo every day and saw sea turtles, beautiful and colorful fish that were not shy at all, and collected wonderful shells! Overall, I think this was the best condo we have ever stayed in and would rent it again, and again, and again if we could. We have actually planned to go back to Maui in the future and stay here again, but this time we get to share it with our nine month old son. If you choose this condo you will have great accommodations that are comfortable, quiet, and just like home...but in paradise:) ~AmyG
