This house was exactly as described. It was perfect for three couples. The views from the porch were beautiful and the hot tub was very relaxing! We were surprised at the nice grocery store in Driggs. The furnishings were nicer than they appear on the web site and the kitchen was very convenient. We arrived after dark and we followed the directions as sent by the owner and they were exact. We were surprised that the house sits on a gravel road which just made us worry we may be in the wrong place! The drives to Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park were scenic. I would highly recommend this house for the vacationer who wants to get away from the crowds and save money on hotels and dining out. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was a wonderful home to stay in. My 2 small grandchildren were very safe and had a beautiful yard to play in. The home had everything we needed, was very comfortable and had beautiful surroundings. We used the hot tub every morning to watch the sun come up over the Tetons. The town of Driggs was such a friendly fun small town. We loved the feel of it. We golfed at 3 golf courses in the area and all were great. We traveled to Yellowstone for a day and Jackson hole acouple of times and was glad to be back in Driggs for the night. Would recommend this to everyone! Carolyn went out of her way to make everything wonderful for us.

This was the perfect home for our first visit to the Tetons and Yellowstone. The house was beautifully maintained and very comfortable. It had everything we needed and more to start our vacation. We were surrounded by pastures and grazing cattle and magnificient views of the Tetons. It is a scenic drive to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. The towns of Driggs and Victor have great restaurants and horseback riding is close. ( check out Bagley's). Hiking trails are everywhere. There are also great micro breweries in the area. We loved the tranquility of the area. September was a beautiful time to visit. We are already planning a trip back. You can't miss with this home!

I can't say enough great things about this home, its owner and the area. I went there with my wife and three children (18 year-old son, 15 year-old daughter and 6 year-old son) and we all loved it. The house is absolutely stunning and in impeccable condition. It contains all the modern amenities you could ask for (wi-fi, granite counters, stainless steel applicances, beautiful slate and wooden floors, large washer and dryer, etc.). The house is decorated beautifully with very tasteful western decor. Carolyn Leigh, the owner of the house has carefully planned everything to make your stay as enjoyable and easy as possible (perfect directions, a managing agent to help with any issues, all items necessary for your stay (designer soaps, shampoo, dishes, linens, numerous visitor guides with helpful pointers). People may wonder whether it is too far from Jackson Hole--it is not! This home is the best and most perfect location for visitors to the area. Jackson Hole contains a lot of tourists and is somewhat congested--it is a wonderful place to visit--but not to sleep in. The home is located in the town of Driggs Idaho. The town contains everuthing you could ask for (very large and modern supermarket, coffee houses, great icecream shop, banks, gast stations, clothing stores, old fashioned record store, pharmacy with a soda fountain, drive-in theater--it's like a Norman Rockwell type town. The town is a great base for trips to Jackson (a 30-40 minute drive over the Teton Pass (stunning views and many overlooks to take pictures from). Along the way to Jackson, you pass through some very quaint towns (Victor, Moose, etc.). In the other direction from the house, you can go to the Targhee resort area (about 20 minutes away). The views to Targhee are simply amazing as you drive along very highly elevated roads to the peak of the mountains. I highly recommend the Ski Lift and horseback riding at Targhee. The wranglers are very caring and it is very reasonably priced. We flew into SLC and drove to Carolyn's house taking a very scenic route. While SLC is certainly much further from the house than Idaho Falls or Jackson Hole Airports, airfares to SLC are more reasonably priced and flights more plentiful. Additionally, if you fly into SLC, you can stay over in some beautiful towns on the way to Driggs (e.g. Bear Lake) and see some great attractions (e.g., Bearland). The key to this wonderful property is that Carolyn treats it as her own and not a commercial rental.

OUR FAMILY OF 6 ADULTS HAD AN INCREDIBLE STAY AT THIS IMMACULATE HOME. THE SETTING, SURROUNDED BY FIELDS OF GENTLE CATTLE AND HORSES, WAS STUNNING. TURNING OUR GAZE TO THE EAST, THE FOUR SPIRES OF THE GRAND TETONS. SITTING IN THE SPOTLESS HOTUB AND GAZING WEST, THE SUNSETS OVER THE LOW MOUNTAINS AND WHEAT FIELDS... HUMBLING INSIDE, THE HOME IS LAID OUT PERFECTLY. THE KITCHEN/DINING AREA SPILLS OUT TO A DINING AND HOT TUB DECK. THE LIVING ROOM WAS A COMFORTABLE SPACE TO LAY BACK AND CATCH THE OLYMPICS ON THE HI-DEF TV. THE DECOR IS TASTEFUL, UNDERSTATED AND PERSONAL. CLASSY FIXTURES AND FINISHES THROUGHOUT THERE ARE A FEW HOMES NEARBY BUT OCCUPANTS WERE PRACTICALLY INVISIBLE DURING OUR 6 DAY STAY. WE HAD A BEAUTIFUL, LARGE HOME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TETON VALLEY WITH COMPLETE PRIVACY. THE FEELING , WHEN ON THIS PROPERTY, IS OF SERENITY AND A CONNECTION TO THE NATURAL SETTING WHICH SURROUNDS THE HOME 360 DEGREES WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND " FORAGE " RESTAURANT FOR OUR FELLOW FOODIES. SUPERB. PENDL'S BAKERY IS A MUST. THE DIFFERENT QUICHES AND MUFFINS MADE OUR MORNINGS ! WE ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO SPEND THE 20 MINUTES AND DRIVE UP TO THE GRAND TARGHEE SKI RESORT FROM THE HOUSE. A $ 10 LIFT TICKET WILL BE ONE OF THE GREATEST INVESTMENTS YOU WILL MAKE IF YOU BELIEVE THAT SPECTACULAR VIEWS AND CLEAR, COOL AIR ARE CURRENCY. THE " MOUNTAIN GRILL " AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL HAS EXCELLENT FOOD, REASONABLY PRICED THE FARMERS MARKET ON FRIDAY MORNING IN TOWN IS AMAZING. SEE JAKE WHO MAKES THE MOST INCREDIBLE ELK, BISON AND BEEF JERKY YOU HAVE EVER HAD. THIS IS NOT THE COUNTERTOP CRAP @ 7-11. THIS IS ARTISTRY. ALSO, THE LARK MEADOW FARMS CHEESE MONGER THERE IS A MASTER. THE 460 BAKERY IS ALSO AN ARTISAN. WE SPENT WAY TO MUCH $$ HERE BUT WE COULDN'T HELP OURSELVES. I WON'T EVEN TALK ABOUT THE BLOOD ORANGE OLIVE OIL CRAFTSMAN OR THE HIPPIE FROM ALABAMA WHO MAKES THE FRESHEST PESTO YELLOWSTONE IS ONLY ABOUT A 1 HOUR DRIVE TO THE WEST ENTRY. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A GREAT FAVOR AND RETURN TO THE HOUSE BY COMING OUT OF THE SOUTH ENTRY. THE DRIVE IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL IN THE WORLD. WE WERE ONLY STOPPED BY A HERD OF 100 BISON ONCE :-)

"Teton View" was perfect for our stay in Driggs during our son's wedding week. The house is so comfortable and well appointed, we were not lacking a thing. Our grandson had brought his bike, so it was fun to have bikes available to go out riding with him. Not only are the Teton views fabulous, but we also enjoyed the surrounding farm scenery. It was so peaceful to come back and sit on the deck after busy days in Yellowstone and Jackson. Carolyn and her property manager, Scott, were so easy and helpful to work with, we would definitely rent "Teton View" again!

Three couples (age 55+) spent four glorious days based out of this wonderful home. We XC skied on nearby trails (Targehee nordic, Teton Canyon and Alta) and enjoyed the Driggs area during the day but always enjoyed returning to this home to relax, spend time in the hot tub and preparing meals in the gourmet kitchen followed by time around the fireplace reading and playing games. Both the owner and the property manager were very responsive and great to work with. The property was immaculate and very well maintained. We are already planning a return trip for next year and would recommend this VRBO listing. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home. We also recommend the restaurant "Forage" for anyone seeking fresh, unique and reasonably priced food. All six of us chose a different dish and gave A+ for every dish.

We stayed in Teton View for a week in February and what a wonderfully relaxing stay it was. Just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando. The home was extremely well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We used the hot tub almost every night and my 14 year old delighted in running, jumping and rolling back and forth from the snow to the tub! What a blast to watch! The kids just loved the place as we did. It was super clean with breathtaking views of the Teton peaks to your East and the Big Hole mountains to your West. We skied at Grand Targhee which had great runs for once a year skiers like us. We also went snowmobiling into West Yellowstone to see Old Faithful. We even had a day to go over the Teton Pass and visit the Grand Teton National Park. What a wonderful home so conveniently located to all the sights and activities! You can tell the owner takes great pride in the home. We will definitely be back! Elaine, Mike and the boys

This home was very well equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Beautiful and up to date furnishing's. Very comfortable beds. Hot tub was immaculate and the view from it amazing. Especially liked not being close in right next to one house after another. The drive to town and the mountain are very easy and enjoyable. This is a superb rental in the Jackson Hole areal. Driggs is a perfect location with access to all of the main attractions. The very comfortable home is located out of town in a meadow with awesome views of the Teton Range as well as the surrounding ranges. There is a 360 degree view of the area and cows graze nearby. If you are looking for a relaxing, well appointed home, in a natural setting , this is for you. Grocery shopping and restaurants are within a few miles of the home. The house is exactly as described. It is nicely finished and furnished. It is light and bright with doors leading out to spacious decks. All the comforts of a nice home are here....big HDTV, nice appliances, gas grill and master bath with separate shower and whirlpool tub. The home was very clean and Carolyn provides a nice binder with information on the home as well as activities in the area. We found ourselves spending more time than expected here as the views were outstanding and the house so comfortable. The hot tub is great and shares many of the views. I used it at least twice a day! The drive to Jackson is not long and the views are magnificent. There is easy access to Grand Teton NP there. I was so much happier in our home than being in the Jackson area which I found to be somewhat commercial. The drive to Grand Targhee is close and only a few mountain bikes were on the road when we ventured there. We played golf at Targhee Golf Village which is close, friendly, inexpensive, and quite decent. The cost for two to play 11 holes (that's what they have!), range balls, cart, rental clubs (nice, too) was about $60. Quite the deal! The Broulim's grocery store is very well equipped and we enjoyed using the grill and cooking in and watching the sun set on the Tetons. I wholeheartedly recommend this home to anyone that is looking for a well equipped and maintained home that enjoys spectacular views. People who need to be near the action should look somewhere else. Carolyn and Scott, the property manager, are easy to work with and extremely pleasant. This was a very easy, pleasant experience and one I will remember for a long time. Thanks!

                  Owner info

                  Year Purchased: 2007

About the owner: I grew up in Southern Utah, north of Zion National Park. My childhood was spent surrounded by beautiful landscape. Since my father was a cattle rancher, I had many opportunities to enjoy wide, open spaces. When I had a chance to buy a vacation home,I knew Driggs, Idaho, nestled near the Teton Mountains, was the place for me. The skies are bigger and the stars brighter. I like to spend time in places where people are friendly and hard working. This home in Teton Valley is truely western living at it's best !

                  Why the Owner Chose Driggs:
After a busy day of driving and activity, you can relax on the porch or decks in a rocking chair looking at the gorgeous view of the Tetons. However, it doesn't matter which direction you look. The view is everywhere. In the early morning, having a cup of coffee in the swing counting cows and horses on the north deck is fun. As soon as the house was completed late 2007, wild grasses were planted up to the lawn. It gets better every year as the landscaping has matured and naturally fits with the surroundings. Highland Meadows is 130 acres of land with 6 homes on it. Eventually, there will be more homes but it's peaceful and quiet. It's a short drive into town, but I bought this home because of the feeling you have while you're there.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
I enjoy the sun on my face and breathing crisp mountain air. If I want excitment, the Jackson Hole and Teton Valley area offers every kind of recreation imaginable, whether it's fishing the Snake River, river rafting, hiking, golfing, riding horses in summer, or skiing and snowmobiling in winter. Sitting on the lawn at Grand Targhee or Jackson Hole Resort in the evening listening to music is my definition of a really great time. I also try to get to the Jackson Hole rodeo at least once every summer.
