ON THE WATER! The waters of the Hawaiian Islands' largest bay, Kaneohe Bay, come into the back yard of the house. The Ko'olau Mountain range, where Jurassic Park was filmed, forms a backdrop for the bay. The entire back of the house overlooks the lanai and the 180-degree view of the mountains and water. Enjoy an early morning sunrise and some spectacular sunsets over the mountains. The photos you see were taken from the lanai and the back yard.
SHIMMERING SEA

The Shimmering Sea is on the third or top of this private home. It provides 3,000 sq. ft. of interior space. The outside lanai is 8 feet by 60 feet and has 2 BBQs, 3 tables and several chairs. A large, tripically landscaped back yard completes the views. Beds include 5 queens, 1 double, 2 twins, a queen sofa sleeper and a portacrib.
BEACHES

KAILUA BEACH, a 3 mile long, white sand beach on Oahu's east coast is just a 7 minute drive from the house. Rated as the best beach in the country, this beach is safe for swimmers of all ages. Enjoy an early morning stroll to watch the sunrise or an evening stroll to see the full moon rise over the horizon. This is also a great beach for boogie boarding, kayaking, kite surfing, wind surfing and paddle boarding. We provide the beach towels, chairs, coolers, toys and boogie boards.
KAYAKING

Launch the two 2-person kayaks from the back yard of the house. Kayak out to Coconut Island where the t.v. show, Gilligan's Island was filmed. Around the shoreline of Kaneohe Bay, going out for about 50 feet, the water is only knee to waist deep. On calm days it is easy to see the bay's seabed, the corals, the fish and various other marine life. You may also swim, snorkel and fish in the bay.

Awaken to the cooing of doves and the rustle of the wind in the coconut palms and the bamboo grove. Relax on the lanai and enjoy the serenity of paradise on the water. Located near 3 major "highways" makes the airport, Pearl Harbor, Honolulu and Waikiki just a 20-25 minute drive. The location of the house makes it easy for you to get around the island yet glad to "come home" to the tranquility that nature provides.
