This was our first time to Nice and Cannes – and our visit and each of the apartments were absolutely wonderful – we split our visit between this owner’s Nice and Cannes apartments. In Nice, we started each morning with breakfast on the balcony and ended each day with aperitif in the same location: with gorgeous views of the beach, Mediterranean sea and Promenade des Anglais. We easily took day trips to Eze, Cannes and Monte Carlo. And mastered the bus system to visit Vieux Ville, Cours Saleya, Phoenix Parc, Le Musee Messena, Matisse, Chagall and des Beaux Arts. We shopped at the local vegetable and fish markets and cooked in, and when we wanted to eat out there were several excellent options within walking distance, or via bus. In Cannes, the apartment was equally wonderful and accessible to transportation, the beach/ Promenade de la Croisette, restaurants and phenomenal shopping. Great for when the purchases started to accumulate – and required a quick drop off back at the apartment! Again, we easily planned day trips to Ventimiglia (Italy) and Monte Carlo and our return trip to Paris. We also loved shopping at the local flea/brocante market. Both caretakers were friendly, informative and helpful. Thank you for the option of staying in both of your lovely homes. Best wishes.

Owner response:Hi Susan, I am so glad that you had a great time When we as owners visit the Cote d'azur we always split our time between Nice and Cannes. That is the beauty of owning. For some reason I hadn't thought that others might like that same opportunity. While Cannes rents higher usually I offer it for the same price as Nice when guests chose this option. I added this "offer" to our information that I send out with requests and you were one of the first ones to get it and you immediately decided to take advantage of it. I was so happy you decided to do it as I think it is the best of the French Riviera. I hope others think of this option and thank you for the kind review.

Great Location in Cannes

We stayed for one week in this cute apartment just one block from the Croisette. Excellent, happening location. Cannes is busy and bustling, but once we got into the flow, we loved it. Judy's apartment was very functional and well outfitted. Considering the location, it was quiet in the evening with the shutters closed and the A/C running. Some nights, though, we left the shutters open and watched the street scene right below. Loads of fun. Dozens of great restaurants all around the block and a daily outdoor market just up the street. A great experience. Ideal for two adults and two children.

Judy and Hervall Family.........Thank you so much for letting me call your property my "home away from home". I had a lovely week there exploring the other cities on the coast and traveling on the various buses like a native. It was a pleasure to come back to such a confortable place to rest and get geared up for the next day of travels. I am sure I gained 10 pounds on the restaurants and the "pain au raisins". We had the good fortune of staying at this location for 10 days in early July '09 and were very happy. The apartment is bright, clean, nicely decorated and the kitchen is stocked with enough equipment to make a meal if desired. Our two teenagers loved the loft. The location is superb. You are situated in the heart of where you would want to be in Cannes. You are surrounded by restaurants, stores and no more than a 3 minute walk to the beach. Two blocks away you will find a market that sells fresh fruit, vegetables etc. and there are patiseries, boulangeries and traiteurs across from the market. We ate fresh every morning after our walk to the market. Being in the heart of all the action also means there is more noise from the surrounding restaurants and bars at night but for us it was 'no big deal'. We would definitely come back to this apartment on our next visit if it is available.

Dear Hervall Family, Preparing to leave Cannes but not before thanking you for making our stay such a pleasant experience. The apartment wassuch a wondeful oasis to come back to aswe wondered the streets and explored nearby villages. The apartment is bright, well designed and comfortable and so well location just two heartbeats from la Croisette. Enjoyed the touches of Sweden aa we lived in tockhoms for 2 glorious years (In Lindingo actually). Thankyou. We tidied up before leaving but I'm sure Johna will be by to do a thorough cleaning. Are you thinking of renting this location? I stayed here with my husband, daughter and her friend. I have only one thing to say - BOOK THIS APARTMENT now. This apartment is exactly as it shows on the website. No surprises here! It is the perfect location (though it can be a tad noisy at night it didn't bother us at all) and Judy doesn't lie when she says how close the beach and Palais are. We cooked, we did laundry, we explored. We truly felt we lived here for the week we were here. The cost is also far more reasonable than other locations we looked at - AND you don't need a car or taxi costs to be factored in.

Dear Hervalls, What a lovely location & well designed apartment to spend the second half of our vacation in France. Our young daughter loved sleeping in her little "loft" bed above us and the decor is so cheerful. The Cote d’Azur is gorgeous and I only wish we had more time to explore. We did venture into Antibes and that was a nice treat especially the "marche" there and the news to Nice and the Alps.Sadly, our last day was hit by rain, so we experienced one of the 55 days the sun does not shine here, but it makes going back to Paris tomorrow that much easier. What a fun, lively town. Can only imagine the energy in two weeks when the film festival starts.We are so glad we took our 2 1/2 year old with us on her own special trip before her baby brother arrives this summer. Thank you for the memories here and for the accommodations.

Judy, We had a fabulous time from Suqet, Grasse, St. Jean d'cap Ferrer, Antibes, Nice andCarnaval and Monaco - what a special "girls away" week. Everyone wasso nice andthe car rental from Elite was so easy. February parking was a breeze. We love "our" apartment in Cannes. PS. Pink concert is tonight (Kathleen's daughter Addie was a dancer in this concert). She was playing in Monaco so we haven't met her yet.

This apartment is about LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! We walked everywhere we wanted to go or took a train or bus. Our toughest decision was which restaurant to dine in each evening.

We had a wonderful time in Cannes. This apartment is fantastic and was the perfect spot to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The location of this place couldn't be any better! We even lucked out and were able to view the "Canadian' firework display on August 15th. The Provence Rivera Tour gave us a true prospective of the beautiful rewgion and made us glad that we chose Cannes as our home base. We enjoyed the beach and especially the umbrellas provided. We look forward to making reservations again in the near future and maybe bring more family members!

We LOVE your apartment. We have come to Cannes many times over the last ten years. We stayed in an apartment only twice and hotels after that. The apartments here are so often poorly furnished, with beds stuffed into every corner to crowd people in. Your apartment feels like somewhere I could live indefinitely (could I?). It had everything in the kitchen I needed (which was amazing as I cooked most meals in). The location is in fact absolutely perfect. I do NOT recommend cars here. We rented one and turned it in after the nightmare of trying to park. We didn't try your recommended location 10-15 minute walk away as it just didn't seem worth it to have a car just to walk to get home. It's a shorter walk from the train station. Thank you so much. I guarantee we will return.
