  The apartment has the most delightful views of the lake from one side and the d'Intelvi valley from the other, its a dream location for an Italian holiday. Friends, my wife and I could not rate the area and apartment more highly. Its close to the village, yet in such a peaceful and commanding location, you find it hard to leave. The layout is great and the comfort superb after hard days cycling, shopping or sightseeing We thoroughly ennjoyed all that Argegno had to offer, superb restaurants, great walks and magic cycling. But cyclists beware... the approach road to the apartment is the tougest leg of any ride in the area! All worth it with when you get back for a dip in the pool, cooling breezes through the apartment and the sound of church bells across the valley. We will certainly be back.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

  We LOVED staying in Argegno, and this property was perfect for our needs. From walking the surrounding mountains, to cycling the hills, checking out the local village and touring around neighbouring villages, having a comfortable base to come back to (with our own pool) just MADE our holiday. We loved it so much we are planning another visit - hopefully in 2013! 100% happy customer.

  To wake up and step out on the balcony looking over Lake Como with the Church Bells ringing gently up the valley is something I will fondly remember for the rest of my life. This beautiful and spacious accommodation is a must for all travelers.We stayed for 2 weeks in September with two boys (12 & 14) and their Grandmothers and had a fantastic time. There was something for everyone, shopping in Bellagio, Como or the nearby Foxtown for the girls, walking trails and exploring the nearby countryside for the boys or just sitting on the balcony soaking up the atmosphere of the beautiful mountains and the lake while relaxing. Luigi and Silvana were beautiful people who could not do enough to help us while we found the information file provided by the owners and other travelers an invaluable resource. The central location allowed us to drive to Venice, Milan, Florence or Switzerland for excursions while the local village had an abundance of great restaurants and coffee shops to check out the local cuisine. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be going back to further explore the region and it's many attractions.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

  Thank you so much for your hospitality during our recent visit to Argegno. Aside from its great location and stunning views, the accommodation was ideal for us to slow down after a couple of weeks on the road. The spacious layout and self-contained facilities allowed us to spread out, relax and enjoy the many local attractions at our own pace, which was in contrast to the hustle of hotel accommodation prior to arriving. The accommodation book in the villa, which contained tips and comments from previous guests, was very useful in helping us plan our daily itinerary for trips around Lake Como and into nearby Switzerland. We have taken the opportunity to recommend the villa to a number of people we know travelling to the region and not only highlighted the above points, but also its capacity to accommodate a large group of friends in comfort and privacy.

  We had a wonderful week in August 2008. My family (including 3 small children) loved the house. The kitchen was modern and lovely. The rooms were comfortable, and the views -- wow. We miss looking out over the sparkling waters and hearing the church bells toll over the valley in the morning! The pool was a great way to unwind at the end of our sightseeing each day. We noticed the house got cool breezes off the mountains that we didn't feel closer the lake -- a real advantage on a summer day. Loved it!!

  My family and I spent a relaxing week in this very well appointed villa. The views are amazing and the hillside location provides welcome relief from the holiday crowds without too being remote.

  Could not have imagined a more picture -perfect location on Lake Como. Easy access to Como, Bellagio, Menaggio but the dilemma is finding a reason to leave such a beautifully furnished and comfortable apartment with views that take your breath away. Highly recommended as a get-a -way or base for further sightseeing.

  Our family spent a week on the Lake in Early October 2007 and had a wonderful holiday. When we arrived the mountains were snow capped and we felt that we had arrived in a magical place. The apartment was larger than we had expected with plenty of room for the 5 of us. The kids loved the pool (though a little chilly that time of year), and the practical touches in the apartment fitout really worked for us. The uncompromising style in which the apartment has been decorated made for a luxurious yet relaxed stay. This apartment will not disappoint, the views are stunning and the locals are friendly and helpful. Silvana and Luigi (managers) were extremely helpful.

  We just returned from a fabulous week on Lake Como. The apartment is in pristine condition, and in a superb central location on the lake. Argegno is the perfect little town, with great places to eat and the best gelato on the lake. We felt perfectly safe with our 2-year-old son, given that the deck is completely fenced and gates lock, and the pool is separately fenced/locked. I would recommend this apartment to the most discriminating traveler. Pool was lovely, though a bit chilly even in August. Everything else in the apartment was perfect, and Silvana and her husband Luigi were wonderful hosts. Beds are extremely comfortable (better than most). Views from the apartment cannot be paralleled. Wide open vistas of the lake and the mountains - photos cannot do it justice. You will not be disappointed.
