8/10 mile south of Cross Village just off scenic M-119's Tunnel of Trees Lakeshore Drive ( take right at fork below hill), this property is located on the shore of Lake Michigan 18 miles north of Harbor Springs. Google Map for 6069 N Lake Shore Dr. Cross Village, MI. Ideal for naturalists, cyclists, families, couples, or you and a few friends. Enjoy the weather and play on the beach take a side trip or play golf nearby. You can walk several miles along the Lake in either direction! Go kayaking or canoeing, then kick back while watching the amazing sunsets over the Lake. If it rains, light a fire in the fireplace and catch up on your reading, card playing, or get the others to join in board game or satelitte TV.
There is a full kitchen for cooking.
Groceries are available at the Cross Village General Store; gas, deli, beer, liquor, party supplies, or the Good Hart General Store; gourmet goodies and deli, or the Harbor Springs IGA.
Restaurants in Cross Village include: famous Legs Inn,a must see which also has music and dancing on weekends, the Crows Nest.
Restaurants in Harbor Springs include: Turkeys for great pizza, breakfast, lunch and dinner - cocktails; The Pier or The New York for fine dining and cocktails. Cross Village is also home to Three Pines Studio and Art Gallery, and a post office, all within walking or biking distance.
In Good Hart (7mi. South along M-119) be sure to visit the Good Hart General Store, Primitive Images (antiques, gifts, and tea room), the Crepe Cart, and A Studio Shop.
Our Summer 2012 rental season begins June 23rd through September 15th. We rent Saturday to Saturday- Check in Saturday 4pm, check out Saturday 11 am;. We have recently remodeled the full bath downstairs and now have a shower. I love to enjoy a morning cup of coffee out on the deck. Sunsets and the night sky are incredible--sometimes shooting stars, and sometimes the Northern Lights make an appearence.

The owner was very easy to work with. We enjoyed many happy hours on the deck overlooking the beautiful lake and sunsets. Everything was clean and the "Tunnel of Trees" road, just outside our door, was driven by us many times. The site depicted the house well, however, there were no pictures of the baths. We found out only after we arrived that there is no shower, only a bathtub.

After spending a weekend at this cottage in Cross Village, my husband and I decided to move from East Lansing to Harbor Springs. We loved staying here --the sunsets are magic and as a bonus, we got to watch a thunderstorm move in on the horizon. Wonderful.
