This was my fourth visit to Casa del Gallo and as always it was picture perfect. And after a 30 hour flight from Iraq, what a paradise. The new addition is incredible and adds to the enjoyment of the visit even more. We spent most of our down time in that room, enjoying the summer breezes and whiling away the afternoon with our peach margaritas. The new addition allowed the whole family a private space throughout the house to read, surf the internet or take a siesta. As always the meals prepared by Sylvia were a Mexican culinary delight. The various airport shuttle services make transportation from Leon an easy commute and reasonable. I can hardly wait until next summer when I again make my yearly pilgrimage to Sam Miguel and Casa del Gallo.

Well, Ed and I are back home from an absolutely wonderful visit to San Miguel. It's really hard to believe, sometimes, how quickly time slips by. But I wanted to get back with you to thank you so, so much for everything you and your staff did to make it one of the most pleasant and memorable trips we've EVER taken! It really could not have been better. "Casa del gallo perdido" was perfect. Exactly as I had remembered and just how I had hoped it would be. Sylvia was simply wonderful. So warm, lovely and extremely efficient and professional. She was truly an asset to our stay. And the Alfredo who took care of the gardening and everything else was just wonderful too! We are already thinking about dates for next year and I've shared your website with several of my Philly friends. Don't be surprised if you get a barrage of inquiries from Philadelphia, PA in the near future!!!!!!! Many, many thanks again for everything Judy. I look forward to working with you again. Fondly, Carolyn George

We have spent a week at this magnificent house. Perfection has a way of taking one's breath away. Every time we enterd the house, everytime we stepped out onto the street, it felt as if it was the very first time. It has to be seen and experienced to know what that feels like. Enjoy

What a wonderful getaway! This house is perfect - every amenity, beautifully decorated - a home away from home. Silvia the cook and housekeeper is unbelieveable. We opted to forgo dinner in restaurants a few nights because we looked forward to her fabulous cuisine. In addition, she happens to make the worlds best gucamole and margaritas! This spacious casa is situated so close to the heart of San Miguel's activities by walking a few short blocks. I just loved the San Miguel experience and staying in this great home made it that much better.

Magical is the word that best describes this house! From the moment we walked through the front door we were captivated by the architecture and the light - we felt as if we'd stepped back in time (but with the advantage of today's conveniences). The location is perfect - steps away from the main square. Silvia is a gifted cook, and the rooftop terrance is the perfect spot for cocktails after a day of exploring San Miguel. We'll definitely be back!

This house is lovely. It's elegant and very comfortable with perfect privacy and a stunning view of the starlit sky from the courtyard and the roof. And despite its old-world feel all its modern conveniences work! An ideal holiday house.

Our family of 4 adults and 2 young children spent a magical week at Casa del Gallo. The house has been exquisitely restored and is so spacious - perfect for 2 lively little girls who loved running about the place and playing in the garden and courtyard. Sylvia, the housekeeper, not only keeps things pristine (such a bonus for a family group), but is also a fabulous cook, and we spent many an afternoon and evening enjoying her excellent Mexican fare. Finally, Casa del Gallo is ideally located and just a short stroll from the town square - perfect for exploring this quaint, picturesque town. We would highly recommend this very special house!

We have had an absolutely wonderful stay in the house! Everyone who visited us loved the home. Sylvia (the maid) was a jewel. Thanks again. Hope I can come back soon for another visit.

I have spent a lot of time in Mexico and this past trip was one of my most rewarding experiences in travel. It must have had a lot to do with the fact that I stayed in this great home. I had to force myself to leave the place every day and that was mostly to run over to the market to buy stuff to cook. The kitchen is a food-lover's dream and a great place to spend a lot of time. I highly recommend having Concha prepare a Mexican meal for you. She is a great cook and a good teacher. After one short week I really felt like I was a part of San Miguel. This won't be one of those "once in a lifetime" things because I plan to return.

I dream most days of returning to this amazing home, in the most perfect of locations. The restoration, unique furnishings, and luxury accommodations ranks this superior to many leading hotels of the world which I have stayed in Europe or the United States. The rooftop views of the city of San Miguel, the lovely manicured yard, and it's unique location make it a destination I anxiously await to return to as soon as possible with my husband and two sons.

Staying at Casa del Gallo Perdido recently was a distinct pleasure. Not only does the charming colonial have a perfect location, but you are quickly reminded of the effort and expertise in its restoration. Every detail in making your stay comfortable and unique is felt here. I highly recommend this splendid casa during your next visit to San Miguel.

From the magical moment my friends and I entered Casa del Gallo, until the day we sadly and reluctantly bid farewell we felt we were "at home". This house is everything advertised and MORE. I can't wait to return!
