The River House of Alaska, Michigan, is located in the historic Village of Alaska, Michigan, located 15 miles southeast of Grand Rapids on the Thornapple River and 30 miles from Lake Michigan. This classic Cape Cod cottage, with vintage knotty pine interior, is situated on the Thornapple River in a park-like setting.
This is a great getaway from the city but also close to all the city conveniences. If you are planning on vacationing, attending seminars, weddings, or visiting relatives in Grand Rapids, this rental may be the ideal getaway. On-site manager is nearby for recommendations and assistance.
The River House is a beautifully landscaped riverside cottage that is a great place to relax and has excellent river access. The cottage has a concrete pier that juts out into the river for excellent small mouth bass fishing, canoeing, tubing, kayaking and swimming.
The interior of the cottage features master bedroom (upstairs) that features a California King size bed, TV and side room with 2 twin beds. The main floor bedroom features a queen-size bed and dresser. The main floor living room has a pull out queen-size sleeper couch. The Cottage has air conditioning, cable TV, VCR, DVD player, stereo Wifi High Speed Internet access and is fully furnished.
The river has easily accessible rapids that are excellent for fly fishing. The Cottage also features a riverside patio with a field stone barbeque grille, an excellent place to relax! There are also many public golf courses in the general vicinit

Weekend rates (min. 2 nights) available Sep 1-May 31.
Pets(by advanced approval only) $50/additional fee per pet.
Refundable security deposit $200.

Dear Wally & Linda, Thank you for this wonderful experience. You have provided so much to us that our stay here has been amazing. We will never forget the great time we had kayaking and relaxing around the camp fire. We will also not forget all of the “Photo shoots” that we took by the beautiful flowers and along the river. Thank you for the memories in scenic Alaska, Michigan. We wish we could take your home back with us to Alaska. Thank you so much
