The project's architect took great pride in the building of this jungle lodge, melding form and function with touch of Spanish colonial elegance. An eco-friendly project; no rare hardwoods were cut in the making of this structure. The main floor has a reception area/office, dining area and great room, full bar, breakfast and cafe area, and a media room with projection viewing and theater style seating. There is a large commercial style kitchen. DirectTV provided by satellite. High speed internet via microwave technology.
The house has two large suites on the second level with two adjacent bedrooms. The third level is the observatory room with 360 degree panoramic views of the valley and the mountains. This bedroom has the most spectacular view! There is a separate building below the main house with staff and additional guest quarters. We have a well equipped workout center and a giant chess board in the garden. Water in the house comes from deep jungle spring and is filtered, purified and safe for drinking. Vehicle parking is abundant although the locals tend to prefer horses over cars.
Because of our remote location, guests at Las Aguas should have 4WD vehicles, especially in the wetter, green season. The main house is the first phase of a jungle resort project.
