The Casita is an 1100 square feet Nebraska style, strawbale cottage, complete with a host of earthship technologies. The cottage contains all natural paints and finishes, clay plasters, radiant adobe floors, rainwater catchment for domestic water, grey-water treatment using greenhouse and sewage treatment using plants and evaporation.

The cottage is unique in it's healthful interior and luxurious furnishings. The Casita is equipped with bamboo sheets, organic cotton linens and towels.

Located just outside the high alpine town of Rico, Colorado in the San Juan Mountains, the cottage is a perfect alternative for excursions to Telluride in all seasons.

The Casita is one of a kind and does not conform to any local or national building codes. Your stay here requires your acceptance of the unconventional nature of this lovely, green-built cottage.
