We just finished 2 weeks at your beautiful cottage. We had fabulous weather and did lots of boating and swimming. The cottage was a perfect accomodation for our family as they came and went as per work schedules. The location is great, we really enjoyed the Seguin going by, especially at night. Piratefest the Aug long weekend was a lot of fun, very entertaining. Your property managers were great, so helpful.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our family loved the Muskoka Lakehouse. We just returned from a fabulous week. Our kids and our dog had a great time and didn't want to go home. If you want the true Muskoka experience, this cottage is for you!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.

We had a great time at your cottage. We swam, slept, caught fish, water skied, ate, watched family videos, had bonfires, went for boat rides, sat at the dock and read…, and then the next day, we did it all again. Can’t wait for next year.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a blissful week at the cottage. The house is perfect, very casual yet comfortable. There are 4 bedrooms including the two bigger ones at each end, one of which is a large master suite. Our children loved the bedroom with the bunk beds. The open floorplan main living space includes lots of cushy seating, two options for eat-in dining and a well-equipped kitchen. Time spent outside is fantastic between the different levels of decking (including bbq, outdoor table, etc.) and the highlight of the property, the expansive lakefront. Sunbathe or enjoy wine and cheese on your chaise lounge dock chair watching the famous Segwun steamer cruise by. The lake views from inside and outside the house are simply stunning. Close to town but far enough away to feel like a real vacation, this property is paradise!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: We have always dreamed of having our own cottage on one of the 'big three' lakes. Our family has had cottages in Muskoka my entire life. It is a lifestyle all its own and one I can't imagine living without. So many wonderful life experiences!
Why the Owner Chose Lake Muskoka:
We chose this location after careful consideration. First, it is on Lake Muskoka, which is connected to Lake Joseph and Lake Rosseau making for great boating day trips capped off with many dining options. Next, we wanted a location that is close to town yet is very private. This is NOT an easy combination to find. We are only five minutes to Gravenhurst, yet when you arrive at the property, you feel like you are in a remote location. Finally, commute time to the Metropolitan Toronto area is minimized by being near the south end of the big three lakes.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We enjoy the fact that we are on a point of land, so that all the properties are pie shaped, maximizing privacy. Also, the 'back lots' are a designated hiking trail, so you have the additional privacy and ability to explore the forest in the immediate area. We are really close to lighthouse island, providing an incredible picturesque view and great sunsets to the west. We enjoy watching the beautiful boats going through 'the narrows' not the least of which being the Seguin. The mornings and evenings are peaceful and calm. It makes for the perfect blend of creature comforts yet retaining the remote, rustic feel of cottage country.
