The house is beautiful! It was perfect for our wedding week. The rooms are very spacious and everyone was very comfortable. My husband and I wished that we could have stayed another week just to relax and enjoy. We love Hilton Head and plan to return again next year! We entertained several nights and everything that I needed was found in the kitchen. The photographer took some beautiful pictures of my daughter inside. Thank you for sharing your vacation home with my family!

The Perfect Getaway

What a beautiful place to relax and get away from the normal hustle and bustle of life. We stayed here with several family members and all felt like we had our own private place because each of the rooms were spaced far apart with their own bathrooms. The pool was by far my favorite place to be as it is centered in the middle of the house with open air above so you can take a dip under the stars, yet it is very private from the outside world. The house itself is beautifully decorated, clean and has all modern appliances. We really appreciated the internet access so we could check on things at home (from the poolside of course). The location was great because we could walk to the beach and restaurants, entertainment, and outlet malls are within minutes from the house so there is plenty to do. I would definitely stay again!!!

Excellent Choice for Multiple families!

An excellent location for a family vacation! We stayed at this property with 2 families plus grandparents and everyone had plenty of space. The bedrooms are separated from each other and private enough to provide room to "getaway". The living areas are spacious and comfortable with up-to-date technology and equipment. My husband appreciated the wireless internet and was able to stay posted with work and emails. The home is beautifully decorated and provides all the amenities including ping pong and pool tables. It is very close to the beach (5 min. walk) yet tucked away on a cul-de-sac so no issues with traffic. The house is clean and very well maintained. The pool is on the smaller side but very private being situated in the courtyard of the house. Had a wonderful time, would definitely recommend the property and will absolutely consider renting again.

Nice Home in Palmetto Dunes

Overall, this is a very nice vacation rental home. We particularly like it being in Palmetto Dunes, the layout is quite spacious (comfortably large enough for a family, maybe two given the cabana room could be another master), and having a pool. Only a few quips and these can be easily overcome: 1) some kitchen essentials are missing from the house like dish towels, dish cleaning pads/brush, and kitchen trash bags. In my experience, this could be thanks to the cleaning crew between renters. They often remove these items to discourage the occupants from using and therefore creating messes to clean. 2) lack of some bathroom supplies. Not a problem. Just remember to bring your own shampoo & kleenex 3) 'heated pool' requires an considerable fee/day. fyi, the pool is small. That's okay, maybe not large enough for some. Also, it does not have an automatic skimmer. Tree leaves, twigs, and tiny bits of stuff were too much for the pool's filter. Makes for a bit of work each time the wind blows as the property has several pretty trees. If we were to stay here again, I'd bring my own garden hose spray nozzle to clean off the pool deck. The same foliage affecting the pool affects the surrounding deck. The provided hose nozzle was useless. 4) bring your own beach/pool towels 5) fyi, Check-in is between 4pm and 6pm & Checkout is 10am the day of departure. There is a standard flat rate cleaning fee plus local taxes applicable to each night's stay. As for the area dining options, we were disappointed with the famed Guiseppies Pizza, NYC Pizza, Hudsons on the Docks, or and the food at the Salty Dog (although their bar area is nice). Restaurants to try: Scott's (relaxing al fresco dining and waterside bar, Shelter Cove), Stack's Pancake House, Fiesta Fresh (best Mexican food on island, good for casual fast food type lunch), and Flamingo Cafe (gourmet cake donuts). For the best food, you'll need to go to Savannah (1hr). The Lady & Sons is a must should you go there. Beach info- more like a 10 to 15 minute walk with kids. Bring your own beach stuff and be prepared to dodge jellyfish on the shore. I would recommend this property to a friend with the above caveat(s). The owner is pleasant and informative.

Owner response:Pool: Dimensions are 10'x20' and the depth is 3' at the shallow end and 5' at the deep end. A new hose with a spray nozzle has been installed and is available for guests to use. This spring has been messier than normal. Due to the unusually cold winter, the trees are really shedding their leaves and unfortunately all the pools in our area are affected. The trees should be finished dropping their leaves in May. To address this, we have installed a stronger pump on the pool filter. Consumable Supplies/ Kitchen Essentials: The reviewer is right. The cleaning company supplies the house with consumable goods. They provide one roll of paper towels, enough dishwasher soap for one cycle and a small bottle of dish soap, a small box of laundry detergent, and small bath and hand soaps for the bathrooms. You will need to bring your own toiletries including shampoo. Bath towels are provided, but bring your beach towels.
