Another Excellent trip to Isla and the Ixchel

This is my fourth trip to Isla and we have stayed at the Ixchel the past couple of trips. We love the location to the best beach Playa Norte (Naughty Beach) and downtown. We opted for a slightly larger condo this time and we were not disappointed with this unit. The unit was clean and the realtor was a pleasure to deal with. They were there to greet us at the Ferry Terminal and got us settled in quickly. The view is outstanding to just sit and unwind in the morning or late at night. We spent lots of time on the balcony. The kitchen was nice but we decided to eat all of our meals out. The food in Isla is excellent! It was nice to have the VOIP phone to make free calls to the US and for our friends, family and business associates to be able to contact us at the condo with a number local to the US. The WIFI also worked great. The realtor provided a local cell phone that was great to call cabs or make reservations. We also enjoyed word class sailfishing catching 35 sailfish in three days of fishing with one day being slow only 5 releases. We will definitely return to this unit and the Ixchel in the futre.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I stumbled upon this unit 2-3 years ago and have stayed there ever since. So comfortable, relaxing and wonderfully taken care of. I can't recommend this unit enough. Andrea is great to work with and while I have never met her, we talk over email if we have. She continues to upgrade items in the unit and has attention to the detail. The property manager (Lilo) was so accommodating and helpful and when he said he'd be there, or take care of anything it was. You'd be foolish not to stay here.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Isla Mujeres is a beautiful island with warm and friendly people. The water is beautiful and this condo is a great place to relax out of the sun and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Thanks!

We've been coming to Isla Mujeres for years, but this was the first time here at Ixchel - and we loved it! We were very happy with all the services provided - getting our golf cart, making reservations for us, etc... Our daughter went to swim with the dolphins - it was a great experience, but quite expensive by the time you're finished it was $80 for video and photos. Pizza Rolandi's was very good - it always is! We also went to a small Italian place near the square named "Maximum." It just opened three weeks ago - the food was inexpensive and really, really good! For $10 choose a pasta, and get a salad, drink and dessert as well (non-alcoholic). We had a short stay, but a great one!

We enjoyed the comforts of your condo. This was Tim & Tammy's 7th trip but the first time with the children (ages 19, 12 & 8). We primarily at breakfasts and lunches in the room and ventured to Hidelgo for dinners. We spent 24 hours with a golf cart and ate a late dinner on the far side of the island at Casa O's. Then weather was hotter than I ever remember so we were grateful for the air conditioner. Only complaint was Comono's - rude and we refused to buy anything there. The sun, food, fun, sunsets and family time was well worth it! We can't wait until our next trip back to Isla.

Isla is amazing! We LOVE the condo. Our favorite restaurants were Angelo's, the French Bistro, and Olivia's - exceptional food. Felipez on the beach was a great dive master. We took some time to go to Garrafon; it as awesome! The zipline was fun and there are so many fish to see snorkling even though it was windy. We loved exploring the island by golf cart and Hidalgo Street is so much fun. Even though it was windy we had a fantastic time in Isla and can't wait to come back

We had a fantastic time here at Ixchel and on Isla Mujeres. The pool was perfect for our toddler and we loved the gorgeous beach, too! the condo was erfect for our group and the staff at Ixchel was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed renting a golf cart and exploring the other end of the island - make sure you head to the Mayan Ruins on the furthest point - a breath taking view. Fish tacos at Jax, dinner at Rolandi's and breakfast at Amigo's were our favorites! Thanks so much!

Although we have traveled extensively throughout Mexico, this was our first time on Isla. What a wonderful island. The people are so friendly and the restaurants are SO good! No matter where you eat, you can't go wrong. I'd never had coconut shrimp before - yum! We loved the condo. The large table on the deck was a plus. check out the neighboring condos. Most just have a small patio table. Bed was very comfortable. Thank you!

This was our first time back to Isla Mujeres in 13 years. Wow, has it changed! We've returned with our two children to enjoy the warm, clear water and white, sandy beaches. My husband, daughter, son-in-law,and two granddaughters stayed here. We stayed several nights in Playa Del Carmen and also Cozumel. We loved the diving in Cozumel, but this is our favorite place and condo! The kitchen is so well supplies (would like a dish rack) love the sun rises and sunsets. We loved walking to town and seeing all the friendly people. Our three year old granddaughter learned to swim while here, so fun to watch. She is learning some Spanish words, too! Back to Seattle today - rain and cold. Thanks for such a nice place p.s. We rented a golf cart one day, great fun to see the island!

Enjoyed your well-appointed and lovely condo - the best equipped kitchen and the beautiful views! Couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary! We really enjoyed our stay in your beautiful condo. We had been to Isla 20 years ago but this was the first time for our children. The island has changed a lot, but the views and water remain gorgeous and inviting. We enjoyed Garafon, snorkeling with Fellipe and the beach. Our favorite restaurants were Casa O's, Amigos and Sanchoho. The staff at Ixchel ere very feriendly and helpful. We hope to come back soon!
