Thank you so much for renting us your lovely cabin. We had a great time. It was the kids first snow! We didn't get any fresh snow but they didn't know the difference:). Your place is terrific. I couldn't think of a more ideal place for this important "first" family memory. We will be back.

The cabin was well equipped with everything. My husband & I styaed with our dog about a week and we all enjoyed it. He was happy with internet connection, my dog loved hiking around the back yard with open spaces. The kitched was updated & I personally loved having mudroom. Anyway, we all really enjoyed & surely come back to this cabin. Also, Dee was really helpful with information in advance. Thanks, Dee!!

The cabin was a perfect home away from home, a welcoming place for me to lay my head. All the amenities were provided and everything Lake Tahoe has to offer was nearby. I hope the cabin will be available the next time I visit.

We stayed here a couple of weekends ago. It was great! The house itself was very cute and cozy. The master bed was comfortable. My mom slept in the second bedroom and she said it was comfortable as well. The kitchen was spacious and it had everything you need. Nothing negative to say!!! Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us.
Owner response:Thank you for your very positive review! We are happy that you enjoyed your stay at the cabin, we try to keep it clean & comfortable for all our guests. We add personal touches every chance we get.

It was a real pleasure staying at your cabin and I hope to be able to do so again in the future. The many amenities and comforts made the week very pleasant. And your letter explaining the features and quirks of the place was very helpful.

This cabin was perfect. We were planning to be tent camping this week to kick off the beginning of summer. The weather was not so great though and we decided on very short notice to rent this lovely cabin instead so we could at least be in the mountains. Good thing...it snowed on us the whole first day we were there. The cabin was warm and well stocked with all the comforts of home. We were very pleased with the quiet location (even quieter than a campground) and the overall comfort of this cabin. The owner was very easy to work with, and very accomodating to our last minute needs. Will definitely return to this quiet haven at some point! Thank You Dee!

We had a spectacular stay at the cabin. Everything is very neat, with lots of things for cooking, seasoning and a this litle things to feel at home. We notice that the owner uses the house often because it is in very good condition. The environment is a dream, with many trees, squirrels and a creek in the back of the house. Is in the middle of a pine forest that looks like a Walt Disney movie and so close to downtown, the casinoss and the ski resorts that you can"t imagine. We hope we will back soon.

Our children (6 and 3) have been begging to go "to the snow" for several years. This year we decided to do it. The cabin was absolutely perfect for our little family of 4. It is beautifully furnished, well heated, and very well stocked. There was a LOT of snow when we got there, but Dave was already in the process of plowing the driveway for us, and was all done by the time we got back from the grocery store. With a light dusting that night, we didn't have to leave the whole weekend. The kids sledded down the driveway and climbed in the mountains of snow. And it was so nice to come inside, and just throw all the wet clothes into the dryer right there in the mud room before going inside to get warm. Dee's instructions were very thorough, and she was very easy to communicate with. We will be looking to come back here again!

Everything was as described by the owner. She was very accommodating since we booked the cabin on a very short notice. The instructions were very detailed. Most of all, my wife and I enjoyed our first time at South Lake Tahoe, it was just a bonus that it snowed on our second day there, which was a first for my wife (she's never seen snow falling in real life.) Thanks for making this a memorable experience!
Owner response:We are delighted to know that your wife saw snow fall for the first time- that is alway a magical experience. Our goal is to make Tahoe and the Urban Cabin a memorable time for all our guests. Thank you!

The essence of mountain living! Everything from the fabulous deck to the comfy beds to the very-practical mudroom was just perfect. The cabin served as our launch pad for a weekend of hiking, biking and kayaking. It's situated in a quiet neighborhood, and you can check out the starry night or roll out to the casinos in minutes. Fabulous find; you won't be disappointed!
Owner response:We appreciate these great comments; and we make an effort to make sure the cabin is as comfortable as possible.

We had a very relaxing, quiet and convenient stay at this very well-maintained cabin. The photos don't do justice to the actual cabin furnishings and "feel". Very comfortable...front porch is great. Nice to stay at a place that is reasonably priced and with owners who care about the quality of your stay. Great to have the open forest at your back door. We ate dinner in while we were there so that we could enjoy the surroundings. Kitchen looks brand new..very nice. Thanks Dee!

We had a wonderful time staying there. The cabin is very comfortable, cozy and inviting. It is well maintained. Our kids and the dog had a wonderful time exploring the hills behind the house and building snow "thing".... We are surely to go back and stay there again. Thanks for letting us stay there.

I can't say enough good things about our experience at this cabin. The cabin is quaint and served our needs beautifully. We loved the neighborhood setting as we were able to enjoy walking our dog and hike a bit through the the snow! Everything was comfortable, clean and exactly as expected from our viewing of the listing. The owner was fabulous to work with and extremely accomodating and helpful! Overall a great deal - we will absolutely be visiting again!

Hi Dee & Kathy, What a darling little cabin you have. Very clean, very comfortable. We loved having the big dinette to have our meals at, the big front porch and the open space behind the cabin to explore. Even snow on Suday morning. Had a great time, thank you so much. Debra

DITTO on all the previous comments. I just want to add that the price of this cozy cabin was the same as a hotel/motel SINGLE ROOM with our dog. So, with the comfort of a whole house, it was a real vacation for all!

The Urban Cabin gave us "The Best of Both Worlds", during our 3-night stay in August. It has all the conveniences of home ... located in a quiet, woodsy neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle; yet close to the casinos, shows, restaurants and, of course, The Lake.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. I'll echo the comments of some others ... the place is well maintained, stocked and nicely appointed. The owners are responsive and reasonable. One thing we particularly liked was how the house backs up to some open forest. This was great for walks, particularly with the dog.

Just returned from our 3rd stay at the "Urban Cabin", and at the risk of making it harder to book in the future, we gladly give it the highest possible rating. We've stayed at VRBO properties across the country, inluding several others at Lake Tahoe, and this property is perfect for us. It's definitely one of the best "bang for the buck" properties we've ever experienced. It's well located (very quiet and private, summer or winter), yet easily accessible to everything South Tahoe has to offer. The home is nicely updated and well stocked, and the owners are helpful, friendly and easy to work with. It's roomy for a 2-bedroom/1 bath, we especially like how the kitchen opens up to the large living room. We've visited Tahoe more than 100 times over the past 35 years, and were even part owners of a vacation home for a while. For a small family, two couples, or especially one, the "Urban Cabin" provides the perfect base for a classic and relaxing Lake Tahoe vacation.

We had a great trip and the cabin was cozy and excellent. Dee was very professional and a pleasure to rent from. The day before our arrival, the previous guest reported a maintenance issue and Dee was very responsive and had it fixed before we arrived. Everything was perfect. I would recommend her cabin to anyone wanting a nice Tahoe getaway.

My family of four and our dog Max spent a wonderful Memorial Day weekend here. I really appreciated all the amenities here, especially for the price. Very well-stocked kitchen, and gas BBQ, where we prepared memorable early summer meals. Very comfy living room, and equally comfy beds. The Adirondack chairs were our morning and early evening relaxing spots, while the kids biked up and down the street. Absolutely no traffic, so quiet! And yet so near all the attractions of South Lake. Great location. I'll definitely come here again. Thanks, Dee!

My girlfriend, me and another Belgian couple spent a great weekend here. We could not believe how much we got in return for such a fair price. It has all the luxury of a hotel (fresh towels, sheets, etc...) and the convenience of a real house. Especially the kitchen, with plenty of utensils, helped us in preparing some great meals and gave us two really nice bourgondic nights. Loved the fireplace and the carpet, really cozy! Thanks Dee! We'll definitely come back next year and recommend our friends this gem. Christoph

We stayed at this cabin the first part of December 2007 and had great time. The owners took everything into consideration regarding what you would need. The cabin has that feeling that you are in the woods but near all the necessities of life. And, of course you are in Lake Tahoe, one of the most beautiful places on earth.

I had the good fortune to stay in this cabin for two months (April-June, 2007) while undergoing medical treatment in the area. The owners were wonderful and did everything they could to make me feel at home. The cabin was so cozy and quiet! The kitchen was very well stocked and there were tons of towells and sheets. I truly enjoyed my stay there and would love to go back some day.

We spent a wonderful five days in your cabin. We went to the Celebrity Golf Tournament and went to the beach, walking and etc. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you needed. The bed was great and a perfect place to BBQ and entertain. We spent a lot of time on the front porch having morning coffee and reading. Enjoyed the great weather and we will definitely return. Thank you so much for a great vacation. Barb

My husband and I and some close friends were able to vacation at the cabin. We were close to everything and could go out to eat or eat in with the fully stocked kitchen and BBQ. They have thought of just about everything, and had lots of room to have company over for dinner. The forest and meadow area are great for a hike, and Heavenly was right behind us. We had a great stay.
