Charleston House – 428 Red Cedar Way - WaterColor, FL
Located in WaterColor’s beautiful Camp District, the Charleston House offers the absolute finest in beach vacation homes. This large 4,680 square foot home has 5 bedrooms, 7 baths and sleeps 16 people. Expansive porches overlook the stunning private heated pool (optional pool heating fees apply of $30 per day plus tax) and nature preserve. Centered around a huge combined living room, dining area and kitchen, this home works well for 2 or 3 families to share. You have access to WaterColor’s 5 pools and Beach Club, and 5 bicycles come with the rental of the home. Tennis & workout facilities are available for an additional fee. Camp WaterColor activities are available to our guests daily between the hours of 11AM and 1PM only; an adult must be present at all times.
The Charleston House has limited, last-minute availability only during the Winter 2011/2012 season.
Entry Floor: Welcoming wraparound entry porch features two rocking chairs. The huge living and dining area feature a plush sofa, 4 comfortable side chairs with ottomans and a 50” LCD TV. Elegant dining table has 8 seats (up to 10 with two more chairs that can be drawn in from the desks). Breakfast bar at kitchen island has 4 bar stools. Granite counter tops, Kitchenaide stainless steel appliances, and exquisite cabinetry round out the huge open kitchen. Appliances include a six-burner gas range, Fisher & Paykel drawer dishwasher, huge built in frig, microwave and wine frig. Laundry room with sink has large capacity washer and dryer. A convenient desk sits in a nook under the stairs. An office/sitting room rounds out this floor – it features a desk, queen sleeper sofa and side chair. This room can be used as a bedroom if needed. Hall bath has a unique stone sink and walk-in shower.
Second Floor: This floor features 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The first queen bedroom has side chair, bureau, bedside tables and lamps, and French doors leading to a balcony with swinging bench, 2 cocktail chairs and table and a private bathroom with tub/shower. The second queen bedroom offers bedside tables and lamps, side chair and private bath with walk-in shower. The huge king master bedroom features a bed which floats in the middle of the room, 50” TV, 2 plush chairs with ottoman for relaxing, dressing area with bench, huge closet and huge master bath with double vanity sinks, walk-in shower and jetted tub, plus a private balcony overlooking the pool outfitted with swinging bench, 2 cocktail chairs and table.
Third Floor: This floor has a huge kids bunk area, hall bath and second master bedroom. The bunk area has 3 bunk beds – 2 have 2 twins each and the third has a double down, twin up, several chest of drawers and lamps. Outfitted with “gamer” chairs and floor pillows, this kid’s oasis has a 32” TV and DVD. Hall bath services this area and has a vanity sink and shower. The king master suite on this floor has bedside tables and lamps, two plush chairs with ottomans, bureau and a private bath with double vanity sinks, walk-in shower and jetted tub.
Outdoors: Outdoor porch comes off living room and overlooks pool. It is equipped with 4 swing chairs and 2 tables. Fabulous heated pool with separate spa area (heated to same temp as pool, if you opt for pool heating at an additional fee of $30 per day plus tax). Fabulous outdoor kitchen features gas grill, sink, outdoor table with umbrella and 4 chairs. Two loungers round out the pool furnishings. Pool side bath has a private shower and separate sink/toilet room. Parking for 3 cars in the driveway.

Our extended family have had a wonderful week! It is our first vacation to truly "relax". Usually we go home from vacation needing a vacation fom our vacation! We have had plenty of exercise in the pool, at the beach & riding the bikes. It would have been a great opportunity to drop a few pounds had we not been surrounded by so much good food! I love to cook & my mom does also, so we were doomed from the start!! We all love to eat, so go figure!! The house is so beautiful down to the last detail. The beds are yummy soft (everyone agreed on that). The jacuzzi so wonderful on muscles that haven't seen use in a long while! We hate to leave and go back to the "real world" but are truly thankful to be offered this wonderful opportunity to "get away from it all" and recharge & spend quality & quantity time with those we love. Thank you Richard & Mary. God bless you for blessing us.
