BRIGHT, HAPPY, LOTS OF NATURAL LIGHT. 'There's something about this house that has good vibes' is a comment we have received from previous guests. We are certain you will agree when you stay here. We built this house a few years ago on a very quite cul de sac with every amenity that we wanted in our dream beach home. We came here to live with nature and found a piece of paradise like no other place on earth.
This home is one of the few free standing homes in the Plantation with its own private pool. Our house is located on the quiet side of the Plantation with very little traffic and no noise. An easy walk or ride on your very own golf cart to the beach.
The beautiful Ritz Carlton is less than five minutes away. Here you may enjoy several fabulous restaurants, music on certain nights for dancing and enjoying a cocktail, along with valet parking.
This is the PERFECT family house(toddler alarms on all doors). All main rooms on the lower level of the Nantucket-style house face the pool, which provides a calm oasis with sounds of the pool's waterfall right outside the doors. It is also perfect in the winter for those who want to escape the cold of our northern neighbors. A gas fireplace in the living room provides a homey ambiance. One will find a canopy of live oaks throughout the entire plantation. The sun rises over the beautiful Atlantic and sets over the gorgeous marsh on the opposite side.
The home, tastefully furnished and designed for comfort to create the perfect vacation environment, includes: approximately 2,800 SF with 3 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms; master bedroom on the first floor with a king bed, two reading chairs, new flat screen TV, and a large walk-in closet with iron and ironing board; master bathroom with dual vanities, soaking tub and large separate shower (hair dryers provided); the 2nd bedroom on 2nd floor with two double beds and its own separate bathroom; the 3rd bedroom on second floor with twin beds and its own separate bathroom; living room overlooks the pool with a 36' television with a surround sound system; study/media room and adjacent full bath also overlooks the pool. The study, if needed, has a futon which can be used as a 4th bedroom with adjoining full bath; ceiling fans in living room, study, side porch and all bedrooms; whole house sound including speakers on the lanai and around the pool; fully equipped gourmet kitchen with bar; dining room with table that seats 8 people; large laundry room with washer, dryer and laundry sink; separate outdoor shower; pool with privacy fence. Sit on the lanai, relax in the hammock in the arbor or dine poolside while listening to the soothing sounds of music and the waterfall. On the opposite side of the house close to the kitchen is another private courtyard for grilling on the gas grill. All linens and beach towels are included.
Also provided are a strap-in highchair / booster seat, & pac and play. Extremely large master closet off master bedroom can accommodate the pac and play.
New cruiser bikes, child's bike, big wheel, beach chairs, beach umbrella, boogey boards, children's sand and pool toys are also there for your enjoyment. We have recently added a new golf cart. Also added are two kayaks, oars and life vests also for your convenience and enjoyment on Red Maple Lake (just a few yards from the house) and at Walker's Landing.
Amelia Island has recently built a fabulous new 'family bike path' which stretches for miles and miles. Should you need more bikes than we provide, extra bikes are available for rent.
High speed wireless internet is available throughout the house. Two separate working desks are for your convenience, one in rear hall and another in the study which may be closed off for privacy.
A new addition to the Plantation is a miniature golf course. Segway tours are available (really fun!). Pamper yourself at the Spa, have lunch and ice cream by the pond at Marche Burrett, enjoy the new Pizzeria, nature center, wonderful shopping and PLAE--our favorite restaurant...all in the Village within walking distance. The newly renovated Veranda is two blocks from the house.

Great home on Amelia Plantation! Lovely pool, great location, owners are really nice to work with. Will be back for our third stay here in June 2013!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with young children.

Since you were here last year, we have added a new golf cart, 2 new kayaks with oars and vests, and some new furnishings to the house. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beach house and look forward to more in the future. It was beautifully decorated as well as landscaped.The living room has a very open feeling with a fireplace on one side and a lovely view of the pool on the other. The kitchen is stocked with every conceivable gadget you would ever need.The bedrooms and baths are attractive, comfortable and clean. The beach, shopping center and restaurants are a 5 minute's drive away.This beach house is charming inside and out and the owners are a delight to work with.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We have stayed at this lovely home twice, and VRBO pictures are very accurate. The location is great - About 1/2 mile walk to the beach, and across the street from the fitness center and the tennis facility. The house is beautifully decorated and wonderfully maintained - It is decorated for permanent occupation, not with cheap furnishings as in some rentals. It is perfect for families or for having visits from friends. There is plenty of space, and the master bedroom is on the first floor, at the opposite end of the house from the second floor guest bedrooms. The owners are very responsive to questions - They will be happy to recommend restaurants in Fernandina Beach (about a 10-15 minute drive), and there are some excellent ones to choose from. We especially like Espana. There is also a large supermarket, a movie theatre and a gym nearby, as well as plenty of casual food places. We will return to the house, and recommend it very highly!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Perfect is the word to describe our vacation to this spacious, comfortable house. Our family loved having the pool and soothing waterfall right outside the door, as well as the separate study where the children could go and watch DVDs and TV so we could have "grown up" time in the family room. We would sit for hours on the lanai by the pool in the large wicker rockers and lounge chairs. Toddler alarms on all the doors made us very comfortable with the little ones around. This quiet house is exactly as it looks in the photos. We especially enjoyed cooking in the gourmet kitchen, talking with each other while cooking and watching TV in the family room. We were actually able to eat in the dining room and watch the children playing in and around the pool. Besides the kitchen being completely stocked, also available for our use were beach chairs and towels, children's toys, a child's strap-in booster seat, railings for our son's bed, lots of beach toys, puzzles, board games, etc. When not relaxing at the house, we took a 5 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) to the beach. The fitness facility and the tennis courts are only a block away. AIP is everything we imagined--a safe, gated community great for walking, riding bikes, looking at the sunset at Walker's Landing---all under a gorgeous cool canopy of live oak trees. My four-year-old cried when we had to leave! We can't return soon enough!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family just returned from the best vacation we have ever had! We decided onAmelia Island for this summers reunion...8 of us including our 6 year old twins stayed at this gorgeous home. All the rest of the family stayed in various other homes, but ours was voted the BEST by far. So everyone congregated here. Great kitchen.....very well equipped. Spacious living areas! Nice beds, comfy pillows! Spotless bathrooms with nice towels...And our favorite thing was the pool! We could sit on the lanai and watch the kids as they had a ball splashing away! Amelia Island is beautiful and we definitely will come back here next summer!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This home is unbelievably gorgeous! Our month's stay was over all too quickly! We loved the pool with the waterfall! The kitchen is so well equipped. We cooked lobster, shrimp and scallops! In July 1980, seven high school friends from Newnan, Georgia started getting together for a week of fun! Last year we came to Amelia Island and liked it so much, we decided to come back again this year. We found your house when we were here and rented it for this summer. It has been perfect for us. We are down to five now and it was the best house for us that we have ever rented. We especially enjoyed the nice pool and ALL of the bathrooms. This is really a great place. About the owner: We are an active couple who live in Athens,Georgia. Kim is an attorney and Sheryl is an interior designer. We have two children, Courtney who is married to Jason, an attorney in Atlanta, and Chad who lives in Nashville. We have a precious five year old grandson and a four month old granddaughter. We adore Amelia Island but are not able to get there as much as we would like; therefore, we would like to share our comfortable house with you.
Why the Owner Chose Amelia Island Plantation:
We visited Amelia many times before we built our home. We have both always wanted a pool, which we were able to have. This is a fabulous family house where we enjoy special times and holidays with our children and grandchildren and also many friends. We are unable to get to Amelia as much as we love it; therefore, we would like to share it with others and hope they enjoy it as much as we do.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The peace and quiet of our area and the soothing sound of the waterfall at the pool are a few things we really enjoy. We love to be able to walk to the beach and the Village. Watching sunsets at Walker's Landing are also very enjoyable. Actually, there is nothing we don't enjoy at Amelia!!
