  This is the second time we have stayed here. Wow an almost new home with a huge deck right on a small river/creek. You can sit on the deck and watch the colors change on the hillside across the creek. And nice views down the valley. And bright stares at night. Open and airy house with plenty of room for two couples. Simon is a great host. Very friendly and helpful. Perfect location --half way between Santa Fe and Taos, but out by itselt. You can make your shopping and sightseeing trip to each of those towns. But you will likely be so mesmerized by the RER that you will choose to stay and enjoy the house, the deck, and the river. There is a really good nearby restaurant and a three wineries. Two of the wineries have music on weekends. Highly recommended getaway

  My wife and I are both seniors and have stayed at RER for the past 4 years and have exceedingly enjoyed the house, the location, and also our wonderful host on every single occasion. We couldn't ask for more. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who wishes to enjoy a fine traveling and resting experience. It is a great house with a wonderful deck overlooking the Embudo River and whoever stays there should take care to treat the house and its environs well; that is, treat it as if it were your own and protect the deck, the fine floors inside, the furniture, kitchen, and other amenities. We're very much looking forward to our return in 2010

  Second time staying here, this time went with sister and her family, also took mother and step father. We rented the Cottage as well and had a GREAT time. Renting both houses was perfect, having the houses just feet away was just what we needed. And as last time the houses were stocked with all the you could need and oh so clean. Sister was so impressed with all the decor in houses she is still talking about it. Perfect location. Can't wait to go back and we will. Thank you again, Simon Rudy T.

  Simon, outstanding week, could not be nicer. Met your mother, what a delightful person. We are trying to set a return date for the spring of 08 when the apple trees are in bloom. The location was in the middle of everything. 5 star in our book. Thanks.

  An ideal location and perfectly appointed home, our escape to Northern New Mexico ended too soon. If one wants access to all the area has to offer, there couldn't be a better place to stay.

  There is a saying to describe that ultimate pleasure. It's called, "OVER THE MOON." I think I was there, "OVER THE MOON," during my week in River House. The house itself was so beautiful and, as I walked through it's door, a feeling of welcome, warmth and comfort for everything I could possibly need or want, would be here. Straight ahead through french doors leading me to a deck, was a sight like no other. Fifteen feet from from me was a huge mountain standing mighty against a glorious NM sky. At its feet ran the beautiful Embudo River , rushing along to, perhaps infinity. Surrounded by green trees, splashes of color from flowers, and the scent of lavender in the air, I felt I had stepped into another world. Imagine drifting off to sleep every night in a fabulous bed , with the soothing sound of a river, and watching moonbeams resting quietly across a magnificent mountain. If a sense of peace, calm and tranquility and, being one with nature is on your wish list, River House is for you. It is the real NM in all it's glory. Try it, you too will be "OVER THE MOON."

  My God. That house Is beautiful.I had a wonderful stay. I love every inch of that property. From the Jacuzzi to the mountains,to the beautiful river that runs thur It. It's keep with the up most of care. I love It, and will absolutely return. Thank You,

  We had a wonderful week in this house. They had everything you could need from paper towels, soap, toothpaste, I mean almost everything. A first class setup and the house was beauitful. The location of the house was also great you could get to Taos, Santa Fe, Angelfire and others it really was a great time Thank you, and we will rent again. Thank you again, Rudy T.
