Execellent location and amentities

We have just returned from a wonderful week staying in Fabrice's apartment. The photos and description of the apartment are very accurate and the location is fantastic. Fabrice was extremely helpful and responded to our queries in a timely manner. The apartment was very clean and welll maintained. Double glazing so street noice is not a problem. I would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Paris who want to be right in the middle of the action to really soak up the Parisian lifestyle. Highly recommended.

Great Value in the Heart of Paris

My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary with a return trip to Paris and Fabrice's apartment was perfect for us. The pictures and description are 100% accurate and we used the VOIP phone to talk to our kids every day free of charge. Having a computer in the apartment was also very helpful for making dinner reservations and researching activities. I'd recommend Fat Tire Bike Tours near the Eiffel Tower. We also rented bikes at Giverny which gave us a unique perspective of the town. The apartment is only a 5 minute walk from the Metro and even closer to the river. The St. Germain neighborhood is always bustling and the food/bar/cafe' choices are endless. If you can get into Frenchie's Restaurant go for it. It's in an odd neighborhood but is the #1 restaurant in town - fabulous experience. Fabrice was very responsive and even bought new speakers for the computer so we could listen to Spotify while we were there! Overall, a great value for where it's located. We'd stay hear again in a heartbeat.

Great, small apartment in central location

Guest: Andi and family (Maine)
Date of Stay: 08/25/11 Review Submitted: 09/12/11

My husband and I stayed at this apartment in late August, 2011. It was everything Fabrice has described. Although it is very small, it was clean, well-equipped, and full of character (old stone walls, broad beam ceiling, etc.) The best thing about it is the location. The street itself is fairly small / quiet, but it is only a block from bustling cafes, bars, shops, etc. It is very close to multiple Metro stops, Pont Neuf, Notre Dame, grocery store, excellent food... My only complaint is that the computer is very old and slow. I would recommend this property!

Our "home" in Paris.

Guest: Ed, Marg & Siobhan (Sydney)
Date of Stay: 07/14/11 Review Submitted: 08/07/11

We have now stayed twice in this apartment - both times in the Summer season. The location is ideal for all of the reasons mentioned by other reviewers. The apartment itself is clean, comfortable and well equipped and offers great value for the heart of St Germain. We now consider it our "home" in Paris. Fabrice could not be more helpful and thoughtful and we certainly haven't experienced any issues with his exchange rate as reported in a recent review. In addition, the washer is also a dryer, as a quick online French-English dictionary check would have revealed, so no need to "hang clothes out to dry". We look forward to returning.............

Great location but some trade-offs to consider

Guest: Married Couple from USA (Boston, USA)
Date of Stay: 05/05/11 Review Submitted: 07/25/11

The apartment is in a great location. The trade-off is street noise can be an issue depending on where you are sleeping (the sofa bed in the living room area is noisy - especially on weekend nights-- but the loft is quiet). The AC unit in the main room (there is not one is the loft area) needed maintenance -- so bad that I cleaned the filters myself. It looked as though they have not been cleaned for years). The unit does not cool the apartment well. The "loft" faces a courtyard and is quiet but gets hot (Fabrice brought a fan over and that solved the problem but we were there in early May and the temperature only was about 72 - 80 degrees so that might be sufficient in the summer). The loft is very close to the ceiling as others noted by others. There is no dryer -- just a washer - so you will need to hang up your clothes to dry. There is no DVD player (just a DVD drive with the PC -- that did not work). Having the PC (and free international calling) was a big plus (no Wi Fi in the apartment though). Regarding Euro vs US Travelers Cheques. Let's just say that the exchange rate Farbrice used was MUCH higher than published rates at local banks and on the web (instead of $1.50 to 1 Euro he charged us $1.80 to the Euro). To avoid confusion or problems bring Euro based travelers Cheques. No freezer but a small refrigerator.

Owner response:Dear Xiomara, a bad exchange rate does not justify writing all these inaccuracies.

A Top Spot

I have for many years rented apartments in several major cities and this is one of the top ones. Besides the exellent location, it has basically al you can ask for. For sleeping a loft facing the quit courtyard with a window that can be opened when it´s hot. It´s obvious that it can be busy on weekend evenings, but close the windows facing the street and you will be ok in the living-room. There is a moderna washingmachine and laundry is dried preferably on the heated towel rail. A lovely kitchenpart with virtually everything you need inkluding a good refrigerator (who needs a freezer with lots of food shops on the streets outside). TV, PC with printer and free phone! (and working AC) This is a great apartment and we have once again booked in the spring 2012. It can be warmly recomended!! Hakan Svahn and Anita Oberg, Sweden

Merci Bien Fabrice. We had a lovely time in this apartment. Fabrice even went so far as to buy us a new alarm clock, when I was concerned about waking up in time for our departing flight. The apartment is situated in the best possible location for restaurants and tourism. The bedroom is in the back, so a quiet nights rest is easy eventhough this is a very busy area at night!

This was our second stay in Fabrice's apartment...the first in 2008. Fabrice is a perfect host and made us feel very welcome. This apt is in an excellent location for a week or two in Paris being close to two metros, a stroll across the Seine to Notre Dame and the Louvre and outside the front door dozens of cafes, restaurants, shops and a large supermarket. Recently renovated the apt is kept in immaculate condition...having a washer/dryer and internet connection was an added bonus. Highly recommended and well priced...we will return!!!

My Husband and I stayed at this apartment for a week in July 2010 and it was just perfect. The apartment is only 2 blocks from the Odeon metro and there are lots of bakery and fresh produce markets in the area to do some grocery shopping at. Also, the apartment has a very good air conditioning unit that keeps the apartment nice and cool, a great thing to have during the heat of the summer. Fabrice also stocked the unit with cold drinks for us when we arrived, a hair dryer (thank goodness!) and even a outlet converter so we could charge things like our cameras, etc. The computer was also great because it allowed us to keep in touch with our family and research when museums, etc would be open. Thank you for a wonderful time and if we return, we would definitely stay at this apartment again!

Bon jour ... celebrating my birthday in Paris last week was a “blast”. My girlfriend and I arrived super early on Sunday, and met Fabrice who greeted us at his cozy parisian flat. It was really cute and very clean - not to mention the pull out and loft area super comfortable. The loft area has a separate tv and best suited for someone who is shorter or kids. Heated towel rack was key as was washer & dryer. We usually ate breakfast there in the morning or ate at one of many bakeries in the neighborhood. A large grocery store is around the corner as is the flower market, several cafes, bistros, restaurants, wine, and clothing stores. You are really a walk to just about every major touristy site, and we only took the rail once to Sacre Coeur. The neighborhood is quiet, very safe and the 6 arrondissement is perfect for getting to/from airport, also easy assess to several train stops and buses. Parisians are friendly and extremely helpful, and my girlfriend and I plan to make Paris our annual girls getaway ... staying in the flat again. Thanks Fabrice for your kind hospitality and help during our stay.Au revoir & a’biento!Chef Carole and Betty M.

We stayed in this beautiful apartment for a week in early January when the weather in Paris was very cold but the apartment was beautiful and cosy, everything you could ask for, by the end of the week we felt like we were locals. Easy access to the underground, great restaurants and art galleries, will definately stay here again

we just returned from our stay in france. for our first week (8/28/09 - 9/5/09) we stayed at figaro. fabrice met us at the apartment and acquainted us with the apartment and immediate neighborhood. the apartment was great and had everything that we required making our stay even more pleasurable. the location was very convenient to the sites we visited. initially we were concerned about the noise level however we were assured that the sounds from the busy street would not be problematic and they weren't. the apartment was very quiet. knowing that there was a washer/dryer made our lives a lot easier. a bonus was the internet availablilty. we highly recommend this apartment. you really feel very much part of the neighborhood.

We greatly enjoyed our visit to Figaro the week of June 27th, 2009. My two teen-aged daughters and I were very comfortable in the apartment, and enjoyed our visit. Fabrice was very cordial and gracious, and everything was exactly as promised. The location is PERFECT! You can walk everywhere, and the neighborhood is wonderful. We enjoyed going out early to get coffee, pastries and fruit to enjoy in the apartment each morning, and felt comfortable returning late at night. The AC works great, and it was nice to have a washer (dryer???). All-in-all a wonderful experience and highly recommended!

We stayed in the Figaro apartment in June 2009. This was a delightful apartment to stay in to tour Paris. The location was outstanding, close to museums, cafes, restaurants, the Seine and the metro. The amenities of the apartment were wonderful. It was very clean, with a small kitchen great for a quick breakfast or small meal, a living room, nice bathroom/laundry, and a delightful loft bedroom. Fabrice was a gracious host who made us feel very welcome to Paris. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a fabulous apartment in a fabulous location! We loved the neighborhood, which has some of the best food in Paris (De Rosa and Laduree), there was an amazing Patisserie right across the street), and we were a 10 minute walk from all of the major sights -- including Notre Dame, the Louvre, Luxemborg Garden. Fabrice was an excellent host. He was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived (even though we'd been unable to call him from the airport) and he made us feel very welcome. The apartment also had everything we needed, including a full kitchen, laundry, and free internet and phone access. This was the best place we've stayed in during our trips to Paris, and we hope to secure it for future trips as well.

My husband and I stayed in the Rue Dauphine apt for 10 days in October 2008. The location is excellent, close to Odeon metro, lots of shops/patisseries/cafes around and a very short walk to the Seine. The apartment is well furnished and we enjoyed the local food markets and making use of the kitchen a few times. The area has a good buzz at the weekends. We've also stayed in the Rue Seguier apartment in the past, which is not far away, although not quite as central as Rue Dauphine. Both times Fabrice has been an excellent host, waiting for us when our flight was delayed and welcoming us with a bottle of wine. We wouldn't hesitate to stay in either apartment again. Many thanks Fabrice.

My husband, our 12 year old, and our baby stayed at the Figaro apartment for a week in June. Fabrice greeted us at the apartment when we arrived. The neighborhood was great and an easy walk to Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, and the Louvre, although we walked to much farther-away places to see. There are two Metro stops in a short walking distance and a main taxi stop. There are lots of markets, coffee shops, gelato shops, clothing and shoe stores, and restaurants nearby. We made dinner at "home" several nights with food from the nearby markets. The kitchen has everything you need for a stove top meal. It was great to have a coffee pot in the mornings, too. In the living room, there was some street noise in the evenings, but in the back loft area where the big bed is, it is quiet. The apartment is huge compared to a hotel room, and it was very comfortable for our family of 4. The apartment is super clean and looks exactly like the pictures. I was so happy to find a non-smoking place to stay. The air conditioning (much needed in June) in the living room worked great. It was convenient to have a computer to look up directions, restaurants, Metro info, etc. It was also wonderful to have a washer/dryer, because we pack lightly. I would highly recommend this apartment to friends. We had a wonderful stay in Paris, and I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Fabrice!!

I rented the Figaro Apartment for two weeks. The apartment was exactly as it is described and pictured on the Internet site. It is located in a wonderful and safe neighborhood in the central part of Paris. I walked everywhere but could have taken the Metro or RER with stations right by the apartment. Everyday I would shop for fresh produce, French bread, grocery items, and shop in gourmet food stores that sold delicious prepared food; all located within footsteps of the apartment. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare a meal. I saved a fortune on food. The bed was ultra comfortable and had a flat screen TV in the wall at the foot of the bed. Having the computer was very helpful so I could check my emails, check the weather, and look up information on the things to do in Paris. There is a washing machine/dryer in the apartment and a laundry mat one street over. It is much better than staying at a hotel. Fabrice was at the apartment waiting to welcome me. I highly recommend this apartment for a short or long stay. Enjoy Paris; I did! Valerie Becker

We stayed in this beautiful apartment after having spent 3 days at a hotel when we first arrived. Forget the hotels!! The feeling of independence and immersing ourselves in the Paris lifestyle is second to none. The apartment is in a fantastic position - a stones throw from Pont Neuf. It is cosy, modern and extreemly well equipped and furnished. Thank you Fabrice - The website is an accurate portrail of what to expect. We will be in contact when we return to Paris!

We have just returned from a month in Europe and Paris was a big highlight, due mainly to our fantastic apartment. Its location is wonderful, only a couple of minutes walk from the river and right in the middle of a vibrant boutique, cafe and gallery district. Fabrice (owner), was a perfect host and met us at the door to settle us in. I can't recommend this apartment highly enough, we loved it and will stay here again if we have the opportunity. We stayed in this appartment in mid August of 2007. We were very pleased! The owner is very nice. He greated us with a bottle of wine and explained everything to us; at the time of our departure he returned security deposit without any problems. The neigborhood is great. Hard to imagine any better place to stay in Paris! Highly recommend!!!
