The perfect north shore hideaway

I rented the cottage for a week in June and was blown away at how beautiful and peaceful it was. The property is covered in tropical plants and vegetation and is the perfect setting for a relaxing time. It is gorgeously appointed and fully equipped with all the things you will need for a great time at the beach. Speaking of that, its a brief walk to sunset beach and a short bike ride or drive to many of the other north shore beaches. The hosts were very accomodating and available for any questions or needs but stay completely out of the way unless you call for them. I cannot say enough about this place and the area! We will be back.

My wife and I spent 10nights(March4-14,2011) at Sunset Beach Cottage. It was a wonderful stay in a very comfortable environment. Safe, secluded, private, great 5 minute walk to sunset beach and then a walk to where-ever you'd want. This is a location for people who are independent and do not need/want lots of diversion, restaurants, night life, etc. It is a place that we'd recommend without hesitation to the right people.

We have had the most wonderful time at this spacious beach cottages. The cottage is just a short walk away from the beach, it is very private and has all the amenities you are looking for. The owners are very obliging, we got a complimentary upgrade and were thrilled about the spacious "cottage", it is more like a house. The beaches are absolutely wonderful, it is never crowded and the water is crystal clear and refreshing. We have had a great time, the pictures are not lying! We will come back, that is for sure! Thank you very much for a wonderful time.

Owners are most welcoming and friendly, kind and generous. Cottage is very spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and clean. The landscaping is beautiful and lush with lots of fruit trees. It is well situated and very, very quiet. Steps to the beach and close to all North Shore has to offer. It was our first experience renting a vacation home after years of staying at the Turtle Bay Resort and it couldn't have been better. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and feel that we have found a home away from home. Lucky, a very sweet and adorable cat came to greet us every time we came back. Waking up to the sound of tropical birds and the waves was a great way to start the day. This lovely cottage will always be a very special place for us. Thanks so much to the owners for sharing it.

A great location overlooking Sunset Beach and close to Banzai Pipline and Waimei Bay. The place looks very newly renovated and the owner provided a lot of extras. We loved the beach bicycles, which were a great way to cruise down to Ted's Bakery in the morning. There is also an excellent bike path which connects all the beaches and makes it easy to get to Starbucks or the grocery store. The place also had a great hammock to site and listen the the waves. We throughly enjoyed it.

Very much enjoyed our stay in this beautifully furnished and appointed cottage. Quiet and secluded, with beautiful Sunset Beach just a 10 minute stroll away. Everything we needed in the way of kitchen equipment, linens, and beach fun was provided. The renovation must be very recent--everything seemed brand new and very nice quality. The place was perfect for a quiet romantic getaway--partiers would be happier elsewhere.
